Didn't see it up. I thought it was better than the originally ending in the movie, at least it shows the monsters are intelligent and not just mindless killing freaks. pretty cheesy but, eh, oh well

That ending was A LOT better. Coulda used a little bit of graphical fixing with the other zombies, but I liked it.

Original was better. This ending style may have been better if it was done a bit differently but thats hard to say for sure.

I liked this one more, original felt like too much of a copout, didn't seem that he would have killed himself and left those two alone to fend for themselves.

Personally, I would've liked to have seen him take her blood sample as a cure, and then of had events play out like they did in this alternate ending. Its definitely a Hollywood type ending but thats what I generally prefer in my movies, otherwise I just end up walking out of the theater feeling depressed.

viewtopic.php?p=960547#p960547 Octopus posted it in the actual movie thread but guess second page = not around, either way I think this ending was a bit better, (happiness wise, but the normal ending made the movie sink deeper imo) I think the best thing to do would've been to throw the grenade and get in that hatch thing with the lady instead of killing himself but thats Hollywood for you.

I could swear I saw the 'zombies' yelling/breathing around him in one of the trailers just like you saw in this alternate ending. It makes me wonder if they decided to change it around at the last minute.

I did enjoy watching I am Legend..but I think everyone is giving it way too much credit..I mean, its just another zombie movie...28days later (very similar to I am Legend, and its a really nice movie)? dawn of the dead? Resident Evil? nothing new there, just a new actor, different make up artists, and different scenery.

You could be considered a legend in this case (moar spoilers) just for finding some kind of cure, living, and then dying normally... you don't necessarily have to blow yourself up for it. imo.

The Alternate was more like the actual book, in which some of the infected were of higher intelligence/retained more of their humanity than others. I agree with Xavier too.

i liked this ending much better, because it did give justice to the story (the whole "zombies are smarter than what Neville thinks ) although the original does more justice to the title of the movie...
