You got me to check Bravo's website to make sure I rembered correctly, The description of their plate is Sea Bass with Potato Puree, Chorizo & Tequilla sauce. Thats about as far from Polish sausage as you can get, not even red meat.

The judges have given too many passes this season based on prior performances. I remember last season, the judges used to say that they judge based on that day's challenge and not prior performance (see Tre getting kicked).

Richard got a pass with the scales on the salmon.

I think Stephanie got a pass this week. They decided that Steph/Jen's dish was the worst, but unless something was edited out, the only reason I could see why they chose Jen was that Stephanie has had better performances in other challenges.

On another note, anyone else perplexed as to how Nikki is still on?

after those terrible blueberry mushroom turd things? yeah a little. i still think lisa's horrible and needs to go, much worse than nikki imo. maybe not on cooking but on her attitude in general, dale hit the nail on the head with that impression of her. "oh that sucks....fuck that."

I know I'm late but I have to agree that last week's elimination was bullshit. I'm glad Jennifer's gone(STFU about zoe), but it definitely should've been Lisa. Yeah, they made the better dish, but if you ignore the rules you can always make a passable dish. The point of eliminations having rules in the first place is to push the chefs to be creative, to show their skills and resourcefulness. To put it shortly, it's called a "challenge" not a "showcase."

On the other side of the coin, I still don't like Richard, but that tofu dish was genius.

I think it's obvious Stephane got by on past performances this week, or at least from what diolague was aired it was clearly the least favorite dish. That said as much as I liked mark as a tv personality he consistantly performed pretty badly so it's no real stretch to eliminate him this week.

Mark was good but it had to be him, Nikki, or Lisa. I was surprised to Stephanie get some weakness exposed, I still think shes a top 3 though.

I agree that last three will be Dale, Richard and Stephanie (I hope anyways).

Richard was really just very classy tonight when he deferred the win to Stephanie because of her task.

I read that Hung was a judge for season 4, so hopefully that'll air soon.

    Where has Bourdain been?

She's finally gone. When the losing team was announced last night, I knew she was going to be the one. I'm honestly surprised she made it as far as she did. I think she was just skirting by while other chefs took the fall. I'm kind of embarrassed for her since she touts herself as this great rustic Italian chef and every time she made pasta, the judges have slammed her for it (last night's episode included).

I can't wait for Hung to make an appearance if it's true that he's gonna be a judge. It'd be cool to see a return of Marcel too.

What's exactly happening with Project Runway? I know their moving to Lifetime but when? I've been hearing conflicting stories that Tim Gunn and Heidi Klum were moving with the show but I've also heard they're leaving.

    I loathe Lisa.
Every time I see her I want to punch her in the neck.
Every time she's being criticized, she just has the most belligerent look on her face, like she can't believe she's hearing what is being said.

Spike has grown on me. I keep hoping Antonia will catch on fire. I think Andrew is a serious coke head.
Dale .. well. Dale is like Hung-Lite. But without the genius and the unbreakable spine.

Basically what happened was, the owners of Project Runway, went to Lifetime and worked out a deal with them to buy the rights for five years of Runway as well as a couple movies made by the same company. Lifetime, who is trying to ditch their image in favor of a younger look, jumped at the chance and said yes. Heidi, and Tim are both on board and have signed deals. Michael and Nina have not finalized their deals so it is unknown if they will reprise their roles as judges.

The deal is not totally done though. NBC who owns Bravo is suing trying to stop the move. They are claiming that the makers of Runway failed to follow the current contract and give them first choice to the series before shopping it around.

Either way, we have one more season of Runway on Bravo. Season four is the one that just finished airing, season five is being filmed now. Season six is the one that is supposed to air on Lifetime starting in November. So season five will air some time before November still on Bravo.

No one said the fashion world was boring.

In a major TV shakeup, Project Runway will say auf Wiedersehen to Bravo and jump to cable rival Lifetime this fall, it was announced Monday.

Bravo and NBC Universal, which owns Bravo, were not amused. They declared war on former Miramax honchos Harvey and Bob Weinstein, whose new venture sold the series to Bravo in 2003, and filed a breach-of-contract lawsuit against the brothers' namesake company. (View the lawsuit.)

In a statement, NBC Universal said it had dibs on future seasons of Project Runway, and charged the Weinstein Co. of sealing a deal with Lifetime before Bravo had the chance to match the offer.

"NBC Universal regrettably had no alternative but to bring legal action to enforce its rights to this program," it said in a statement.

The 13-page lawsuit, filed Monday in New York, accuses the Weinstein Co. of "engag[ing] in sham negotiations" with NBC Universal, and calls the company's new five-year pact with Lifetime an "invalid agreement."

Lifetime is not named as a defendant.

The suit was noted, if buried, in Lifetime's and the Weinstein Co.'s joint press release trumpeting the programming coup. It said NBC Universal "declin[ed] to compete for the right to have Project Runway." NBC Universal said it "categorically denied" that statement.

For its part, the Weinstein Co. argued that NBC Universal was trying to "win in court what [it] lost in the marketplace."

"We believe that this lawsuit is without merit," David Boies, an attorney lawyer for the Weinstein Co., said in a statement.

As announced, Project Runway will strut on over to Lifetime in November for the launch of what the network said will be the show's sixth season. For those keeping count, the show's fourth season just concluded last month. Lifetime said its math wasn't in error, indicating a fifth Runway season will play out on Bravo between now and November.

Heidi Klum will continue as host on the show's Lifetime version; Tim Gunn will continue as mentor to the designers.

Klum and Gunn were both quoted in the release—Klum reminding that "fashion is about change," and Gunn dropping his catchphrase, à la "Lifetime and I will definitely 'make it work' together."

Deals with judges Michael Kors and Nina Garcia haven't been closed yet, a Lifetime spokesman said.

But all bets would be off if Bravo's and NBC Universal's lawsuit prevails. In addition to unspecified damages, the companies want the court to declare that they have the right to match the pact that the Weinstein Co. reached with Lifetime.

It was unknown what effect, if any, the upheaval will have on Tim Gunn's Guide to Style, a makeover series that Bravo awarded Gunn last year. (Gunn might have answered the question himself, noting in his statement that he was "very excited to be part of the Lifetime family.)

Project Runway premiered on Bravo in 2005. Its just-concluded season scored the show's highest ratings yet, averaging 3.8 million viewers an episode.

The show has been nominated three straight years for the Reality-Competition Emmy (and, like so many others, lost all those years to The Amazing Race). Just last week, the series scored its top honor to date, when it was tapped for the prestigious Peabody Award.

The lawsuit details the show's development history, along with way getting in digs at the Weinstein Co. Specifically, it notes the production company "has not been involved in any successful television programming beyond" the design series.

Painting itself as the hero, NBC Universal says Bravo "was the only one willing to give the program a chance." It says the network and its corporate self "spent an enormous amount of time, energy and money" in "transforming [the show] from an untested concept into an unqualified critical and commercial 'hit.' "

The lawsuit alleges that in January 2007 NBC Universal agreed to push up the premiere of season five of Project Runway in exchange for the Weinstein Co. agreeing to honor the right-of-first-refusal deal. It quotes Harvey Weinstein as essentially telling NBC Universal chieftain Jeff Zucker: "You can only have in your life five true friends, and I consider one of my friends. And I'm telling you, I will not embarrass you.' "
Yeah, dunno how they are really gonna pull that off. But... should be interesting.

Not too happy with tonight's TC. Andrew was one of my favorite cheftestants. I know he didn't have much of a shot to win, but I enjoyed his personality and mannerisms.

Spike's getting more annoying. Seems like he's trying to hide his lack of skill by trying to outplay the rest.

Lisa...why is she still on? She can only cook bacon. You have to be really trying to undercook shrimp.

edit: No surprise at who's on top again.
