How can you consider AC hard? <.<; I always found him to be a pussy

He didn't call it hard, he said those are the mobs he listed from hardest to weakest. Doesn't mean they're hard, just tougher than the ones on the opposite side of the chart.Originally Posted by Uzor

On RDM I can bring not crit hits down to like 150~.
Have your mages get a proper standing set and they won't die.
I would change LAC and AC spots but thats all.. LBC with 10/10 gears makes him just as easy as the rest.
Actually I should mention that, I think a lot of the time they panic when it's after them lol.Originally Posted by Seditedi
Did LAC again today, this time with 6+1 using the BST strategy again. Charm phase went off three times, from those three times it did one single TP move on the third time just after the melee got uncharmed and this with Carrie meleeing LAC face to face while the charm phase went through (basicly, she was feeding LAC with her melee and LAC's own hits). So yeah, it definitely doesn't spam TP moves for us when he's Brainjacking. *shrug*
Oh, as for difficulty of AC regarding new groups, i say it's probably the easiest to handle because it involves common known tactics used everywhere in the game. Really, it's like fighting a gigantic decorative weapon xD New people understand easily how to deal with Mortal Revolution since it's very straight forward: "Have always 3 shadows up, stun it if you can". LAC requieres a different strategy to handle non-sleepable charm, BC requires an abnormal strategy where you have to stand at certain distance to get hit by one TP move but not another as well as handle more healing than the rest of the charriots, and finaly LBC requires repositioning mid fight or/and handling of throat stab style moves.
From my personal perspective, for our group, i'd say LBC (no nerf) > BC > LAC > AC. To each its own i guess![]()
lol, yea I was actually amazed how much damage was reduced.Originally Posted by Wizerd
I bet eating a Tavnazian Taco with that gear will bring melee non-critical hits to sub 100 damage.
Really easy to deal with as long as you get cures that way.
The last time we attempted LAC fight both the WHM and I (was on RDM) had some connection issues and we took turn to get diconnected from the game. The funny thing is we actually broke our LAC record, killed in around 11mins I think.
It worked well becausee MNKs took hate back easily after uncharmed since getting d/ced from the game cleared enmity. I logged back in twice just to find LAC chasing other DDs. Looks like a single RDM and WHM can handle cure duty well since LAC doesn't hit as hard as other mega boss.
Next time we fight LAC, will try to dupilcate the fight to see it's actually worth doing on regular basis.
When I do LAC, what I do is after the leader call when it's nearing Brainjack time, I would disengage, wear kingdom signet, and get ~20 or so head start. I'd turn back for a few second and let the MNK grab the hate if I happen to have it, and yell on the mages to take care of bind.
Then as soon as the MNK get charmed, I would just kite along the perimeter of the rectangular room, the 2 pillar platform should be more than enough of an obstacle to slow him down and kite him even without movement speed, just gotta be careful since the range of brainjack is like ~16 or so, which will catch you off guard every now and then.
But if you do it right, you should be able to kite him for the 1 min of the brainjack happy fun time duration, if not, you'd still be putting the mages out of the harm's way for a good part of the LAC jack time.
He would do discharges within few second of each other when he's being kited and someone walked into range, granted you can easily no effect them by just walking out on the ~2-3 seconds charge up, but that bitch spams its TP during brainjack mode.Hey, maybe i fight a different LAC than the rest of the people that bother to kite him, but i've never seen LAC try to do any TP move after a charm phase unless... you know... he has TP? And that only happens if he starts charming before using his TP or if he's under TP regen effect. I've stood there to watch LAC hit CorrierCarry almost to death (she survives if she starts at full HP) and not see a single TP move from it. And he's getting TP not only from his hits but also for CC's melee.
Did another Silver Seas run, this time with people on slightly different jobs, and only 7 of us (MNK MNK DRK WHM RDM BRD THF).
Using, the Flee after port -> aggro gears -> Chainspell Sleep II and kill them off, we were able to pull off 4F in record time, and kill the boss (without a pet job).
The RDM and WHM this time were a lot better at kiting and were better about standing still once we were ready to take hate off, and the fight lasted only 9.5 minutes. We didn't have anything special for the zerg, like Barb drink or Revitilizer. I now see why people say LAC is so easy (if done right, of course). He was a damn pushover while we were meleeing it, had 4 melee on it the every time we weren't charmed and MP wasn't a problem (Megalixirs helped this).
Unfortunately, we timed out right after boss died, and one of our members wasn't able to pass the Bodb's Cuffs in time (lolTsukikazu that no one wanted also), so we'll have to refine our time slightly. On that note, is the 4F chariot sleepable? I forget, and don't wanna search. <_<
Edit: Oh, and yes it was using Discharge/Inertia Stream this time, during Brainjacking mode.
