It's almost as if they were experimenting with a besieged idea during the development of CoP, could it be we'll have a campaign inside of the Safehold? Is the land bridge still up during WotG era?
Do we know if The Tavnazia assault happened already or not in current WoTG story?
Story/Lore-wise, the land bridge to Tavnazia still exists. WoTG so far is still in the infancy of the war, major events (siege of jeuno, battle of garliage, necropolis raid) havent happened yet. The safehold does not exist yet since the capital city of Tavnazia is still unaffected by the war.

Perhaps there is still hope they allow the players to visit the capital city, since its a focal point for major events in the game.

When I first heard about WoTG being in the past my first thought was TAVNAZIA and I was gutted when it seemed that we will not be going there, so I am still hoping for the city of Tav too

I always though the [S] stood for Super? Like first there was Metroid. Then there was Super Metroid. Makes perfect sense!

What they've said they're putting in so far looks pretty decent. They always have more stuff in the day of the update during maintenance which can still hopefully include Blink/SS for /SCH and a new Auto Refresh item for SMN since PLD gets about 8 of them. Hopefully adjust Campaign enough that there's sometimes more than 1 beastmen controlled area or give access to more of the blockaded past areas (in addition to Oztroja, etc).

Ohsnap. Why did I not notice this? Interesting.

In a way, that makes some sense, given the new WotG zones they were boasting are things we already have. We have a lot of little areas already in those Ops mini-zones as well, right? So theoretically even if they added completely new event-type feature, it wouldn't be that big. I'd have to figure that's 16MB of campaign changes/additions and queststuffs. Doesn't seem like enough space for a Jeuno or Tav S yet?

Large size to all implies new graphics, gear, weapons, WSplz... so idunno. Size variant for CoP would mean ... well, I can only guess that they're replacing lufaise with one that has a new cave with ruins of a bridge attached to it on the east end somewhere or something... like in chrono trigger before you've gone to the past and made sure everything was okay! Same development team?

Wait. Ignore that. Tele-Lufaise. That would do it.
    Kinda forgot about new teleports.
So uh, that could mean replacement of big hunks of areas. I haven't seen much guessings as to what we'll get for teleports and warps.

Tele-Olddum, Tele-SomewhereAwfulInTheMire/Reef and Tele-Tav are the last huge chunks that take at least a little extra effort to get to (not counting once-a-day rings and undersea ruins sneakiness). Actually, since the outpost is in lufaise, the teleport would probably be to mistreaux or riverne (yes please!) for Tav. For warps, direct-to-city or all to HP of a chosen PT member seem like possible additions of things that would seem moderately convenient and not be entirely broken. People could stop complaining about not having the OPs to the other nation's backyards. If they put in teleports or warps directly to places in the past I'm going to thwap them for caving to lazy players. I was already amazed that we didn't have to set a 'SHP'.

So can we contract some migrant Galka workers to dig up port jeuno and replace it with something useful yet? Warps straight to cities would make any novelty left of airships meaningless, besides the lvl22-30ish exp trips to Kazham. Might as well do something with the other 3 docks!

Far East, Southern continent and Far West expansion airships. Send Cid a no-bid contract and we'll get started after he outsources the logistics to Goblins.

Havent whole zones been added in patches? Id imagine that SE would not include Tavnazia in any incarnation on the disc due to the fact that it'd be big fucking news as soon as it was dug up.

WotG is supposed to be a story heavy expansion... and not having the main thought everyone has when they think 'Great War' would be a complete and utter failure. I think they are hiding it until the time is right, its just too pivotal to exclude from this expansion.

Could just have a special Atomos warp there, no incarnation in the present for the zone.

I was under the impression that Fellow wasn't "CoP" content, but pre-ToAU, independent content. It isn't attached to the CoP disc, and none of the quests are in CoP zones except for the tactics pearl.

Hmm. Do the updates that have different sizes based on your installed expansion, always list all of the expansions? Or have there been ones that list only the latest update, or an update other than the latest and that one alone?

Also, that file size note was taken from the NA site, does the JP site note list Rise of the Zilart? The EU site only lists Treasures of Aht Urgan and Wings of the Goddess.

No, what I meant was read.

Ok, but, the EU site reads,
[File size for clients with "Treasures of Aht Urhgan" and "Wings of the Goddess" installed.]
    and the JP site reads,
    ????????????XI??????????
    ?????????????XI???????????
    ?????????????XI?????????????
    ?????????????XI??????????
    ??????????????
    ??????????/???????????XI?
    ??????????????????????????
    ????
    ???? = jiraato (Zilart)

By the same logic I think you are using, you'd have to say,
"The data does seem interestingly large and the fact that it also affects COP, ROZ, and TOAU is especially curious."

God that would be the most epic fucking tease ever.

"Ok ok, tell them about the monster name color thing... and don't forget oh, uh... that music shit we did... lets tell them we put the /dances in... and uh..."

'When do we tell 'em about Tavnazia [S]?'

    *slap*

"At the last possible second you ass, at this point we've completely crushed their hopes with that stupid AV video, it will be a masterfully bastardlike act of such incredible magnitude, even Sundi will know what happened."

Was Diabolos really a last minute surprised in the full update note on update day?

The fact that it affects TOA is obvious, they clearly said they'd be adding things to Pokemon. The changes to ROZ are most likely connected to the new Sneak Ninjutsu and the accompanying tools. So the effect on COP is the only x factor.

Yeah, Diabolos was announced Dec 12 (was a Monday in 2005), and the update was Dec 13

You can verify by dredging through somepage's old news archive, but, that requires going to somepage.

And LD, actually, it may be Fellow. As I was checking the diabolos date, I found the fellowship stuff was added well before ToAU came out. I thought it was a lot closer to the release. (It came out before Limbus or Diabolos even o.O)

Just because something was added in the COP period doesn't necessarily mean it's limited to COP. The only part of the NPC system that's COP specific is the trip to promyvion.

Re: All Worlds Maintenance (Mar. 10)

Given that the wording suggests that part of the update will be for people with CoP installed, and you can do a lot with a Fellow without it installed last I checked, it's kind of a safe assumption it isn't that.

Come on Tavnazia [S], baby needs a new place to chillax.

the fall of Tav was a pretty big event so it has to appear at some point
but yeah im wondering why the update is so big =/
