You guys are reading way too much into the list of expansions.

The only thing really specific to CoP in this patch was Tu'Lia teleportation.

They always list all of the expansions, they don't have to list RoTZ since that was included in the NA release.

The EU site does not list CoP, since that was included in EU release.

Uh, sorry, when have they ever added an entire zone via an update? People keep mentioning it like it's common knowledge but I can't remember that ever happening.

Aren't they going to be making the past zones affect the present ones this update? Pixies and whatnot appearing if there aren't too many assholes killing them? How much of a change is altering the mobs in a zone to the dat files?

I'm also wondering if Campaign NPCs will be able to be cured with Waltzes as there's that change in Fellows that's somewhat similiar.

The Limbus zones existed, they were just renamed. Ou'hpat Obelisk
become Temenos, Lower Promyvion became Apollyon.

No zone has ever been added in an update. So unless they found a way to hide zone data from us, we are only going to see Walk of Echoes, Beaucedine Glacier (S), Xarcabard (S), Castle Zvahl Baileys (S), Castle Zvahl Keep (S), and Throne Room (S) in this expansion.

Not that they can't hide zone data, they have changed the data structure of the game many times. If they changed it enough people wouldn't know to look for it, but I certainly would not count on it.

I know its probably a small chance to never seeing tav in all its glory but I think thats just a crock of fucking bullshit that its one of the biggest events in the crystal war that we as players "know about". I think there will be a ton events/mystery's that havent been uncovered about the war but to not include tav will ruin this expansion for me.

If there is no tav when its all said and done it will be because SE is fucking lazy, I could say the same for jeuno as well.

There should be a Jeuno, as it was in one of those pics where the leaders of the 3 nations [in the past] went to go see the Archduke. If SE lets us enter Jeuno of the past however remains to be seen. But yeah, SE is lazy.

Re: All Worlds Maintenance (Mar. 10)

While they have never added a zone, they have edited many. Not simply by opening up zone lines, but by adding entire structures, like the choco circuit buildings. I'm not sure how they go about it or how much data it takes, but it could mean any number of things for the past or present.

Personally, I think the fact that this update potentially affects all expansions is more interesting than just a couple.

The way they're able to have CSs in zones we don't have access to in the past is by using the present zones. All those zones already exist in the data, they're original content, they just put some of the new NPCs & such in there and run it. Meaning we'll never have actual access to those areas, as they are.

The fact that it affects TOA is obvious, they clearly said they'd be adding things to Pokemon. The changes to ROZ are most likely connected to the new Sneak Ninjutsu and the accompanying tools. So the effect on COP is the only x factor.
I highly doubt the changes to RoZ are Sneak ninjutsu and tools, as that affects the entire game due to adding it in to the ROM folder, as everyone need to be able to see the scroll, tools etc. If its going to affect RoZ specifically, it needs to be something within a RoZ zone, as all spell data, monster data, item data and ability data is in the ROM folder, and not in the expansion folder.

The fact that only, what, 16MB is WoTG, CoP, RoZ and ToAU exclusive, doesn't tell us much. As mentioned before, monster data, item data, spell and ability data, etc, are all added in a folder outside WoTG. So they don't actually need to add anything to the other expansions other then what they announced. The 16 MB can in fact only be WoTG missions and the pokemon changes.

That's been established a page ago, and for a far more relevant reason.
Also, spell, ability, and item data are held in the common folders, since they have to be accessed by people without the expansion.

Yes, I know, but people still mentioned it.

And yes, I'm well-aware of the reason they're in a common folder.

I just want to point out that the reason for this is due to North America's Daylight Saving Time beginning on March 9th (tonight), with the update following it closely. They wouldn't have listed it like that otherwise.

Tavnazia [S] as a Jeuno-of-the-past would be awesome, though I can think of one reason why it's NOT getting put in.

All current Maw zones have access without unlocking something else. Tavnazia would probably take beating the initial Promy runs, as you'd likely have access to Lufaise/Coast too (unless they're Maw-free areas).

They expanded Alzdraal from the 3-4 rooms it was at release, adding the Nyzul Isle portal (and salvage maps) and they added Hazlam Training Grounds.

Re: All Worlds Maintenance (Mar. 10)

Remember, old Tavnazia was in a zone north of Lufaise Meadows, and unless the Lightbringer dropped an entire area the size of a zone several hundred feet without destroying the buildings you can see in Old Tav, it's got a big cliff that is currently unpassable.

There is a caved in tunnel near the rocs that leads that way.

I'm still gonna keep my fingers crossed, that would be so epic.

Hmmm, interesting thought. There are several monsters that are only within CoP/AU/Zilart zones, would it not be necessary for the file to affect them if sayyyy, a monster damage formula adjustment were implemented to foster more tanking options?

For a Maw to Tavnazia, they could just have you progress in the WOTG storyline up to a certain point then have a maw open up in the Walk of Echoes or somewhere else that only needs WoTG to visit. Direct access to Tavnazia [S], since they might not want to recreate Lufaise/Miserieux, or just one expansive open field zone like Cape Riverne or something.

Tavnazia should be the hub city, Jeuno should be a one zone area subject to attack like the rest of the starter cities. Even with the SE lazy streak, i dont see why it isnt possible to allow access to Tavnazia even if its only a direct warp into the city (no outside zones around it) since the storyline obviously allows it. Now asking for a visit to present day Tavnazia would be a bit pushing it.... though it'd be kinda interesting to have a ruined city for a zone. (No, Quicksand Caves does not count >.>)

They would have to design Tavnazia from the ground up though. That could require a huge amount of MBs to download not to mention time.

That should have been the first zone they created when the xpac was thought up, its just that crucial to the players perspective of 'omg we're going to the past - wheres Tavnazia!?!?' feeling.

It could just be a zone accessable only via a maw with no outdoor zones if they wanted to only bare-bones it with a water transport to another city (Jeuno?) via a Ferry.
