The boyfriend and I had a lot of luck just trolling the El Cheapo shelves when his xbox was dying.. crap such as Super Monkey Ball Delux provided a shit metric ton of entertainment for $10.

My brothers are 11 and 13 and play Ninja Gaiden and love it. I missed the "nothing really gorey" part skimming, so...just the Lord of the Rings series then. Might be good since they're coop. I'd suggest Panzer Dragoon Orta but it'd probably just weird them out a little. Maybe Morrowind?

thats just to cover my own ass, as they are nephews. they play all kinds of things, but I don't want to be responsible for what they learn, I'll let my brother-in-law be the one to explain the things in GTA.

went to a locally owned used game shop got halo 2, ncaa 2005(they're all the same anyway plus it was $3), and Tenchu:return from the darkness (for me loved the PS1 games+ $5). Gonna get Mech assault, Capcom vs SNK2, a Nascar game, Ninja Gaiden (4me ) off ebay since I don't agree with the pricing scale from gamestop.

i found gauntlet to be amusing in the arcade, dunno how well it translated to the x-box though.
