eh, I won the first one I think with Wario (can't remember now wow) and technically Kobby won the last one so I didn't exactly win it (nor do I think I could've). Had to run to take care of something real quick which was faster than I thought it would've been (didn't want to go Brb in game like I did with Kashi the other day which took over an hour)

Nah I think the issue is that you tend to stay at the edge and not engage the opponent (that and pressing a a a a a a a on every char but not utilize the rest). I think you should try what I suggested to others to look up vids of people playing on your main and see how they utilize their arsenal (or try what I did on the chars that we shared; like how I learned some things about PKMN Trainer from watching Thul play).
Can get you started with this
