I hate this stage sooooooooooooo much. First time I fought him to get into this bracket was very close ending, it wasn't as bad as this second one.
Can't approach Metaknight worth crap lol XD

It was a foolish thing for me to not switch to Wario after getting into Loser bracket (double elimination but one round only). I guess my pride got in the way considering how close the first match was... but yea, my friend, who uses Wario, won the tourny beating the Metaknight barely but I can beat my friend on Ness/Wario fairly well XD I think it was more of a matchup problem since I can beat the Metaknight's main and his other chars by two stock on average :\ The other issue is my good sparring friend, the Wario user, mains him so it feels kinda awkward to use his char like that but again pride issue I guess XD

As Kobby and a few noticed, picked up Zelda again for online (mostly practiced offline with her) as a possible matchup issue when Ness goes down the first time. Think it was about 40:60 in Metaknights fair against Zelda.

Still in school so I'll come on later this evening when my ride is ready in two hours.

Dsmash, dsmash, dsmash, dsmash. Guy whored the mvoe to no end because you didnt act accordingly. Run away and pivot grab if necessary, spot dodge it and jab him then block the incoming dsmash and grab him for it. Retreat fair to ground him, follow up with a PK fire,if it connects and you're far, dash grab him, if it connects and you're close, fsmash him. Also, short hop dair out of shield to deal with that dsmash habit.

Yea, the dsmash was just as apprent in the first match especially after Shuttle Looping (at the time didn't know you could connect the two so quickly).

Retreating Fair is something I need to get use to. Never get to be defensive Ness since it is usually unnecessary against most chars except for ones like Metaknight; that and lack of short hop PK Fire Lucas style doesn't work with Ness XD

Shorthop dair I didn't think about. I seen some people do it in videos but wasn't sure if they were just being random (unless they planned to go into PK2 afterwards).

Good advice with retreat Fair into PK Fire I'll be sure to try that especially. Before, I learned pivot PK Fire not too long ago before the tourny and was using that in the first match which was decent.

As for the Pivot grab/jab/dodge/grab is a little more advanced to practice but I'll try it out too, thanks.

What of him spamming Tornado though? I am not sure if retreating fair will work but guessing it should.

Thx for the matches especially the Metaknight ones. I still can't beat it well ;; You should try down air when off the ledge better than fair to prevent them from coming back (its so lame though arggggggggggggggggggggh lol ;; )

Everytime I see that damn stick of Lucas it makes me cringe at how much better and faster it is than the once glorious bat of Ness =x

Lol that MK you fought was a joke with dsmash, sorry Meian. I've played countless scrub MKs that love to spam dsmash, and they're encouraged to spam because instead of backing off on the first attempt (unless you powershield), newb players will stand there and try to punish. Unless you have a quick jab, space yourself away from him. Everything else has been covered by Ryko.

Nah, I just get irritated with myself and lack of control over my analog stick. Most of those metaknight fights I never once wanted to side b at you. The Din's Fire thing was a nice discovery I thought lol. I think I'm just going to drop Pokemon trainer. I don't get anywhere with him at all.

I need to think up better ways to approach people with Kirby and Lucas. I know I always do the same ol things. I try and fight random people but like clockwork I end up with the tards that go to hyrule temple and spam taunts for 2 min...

75% of the cast you don't need to approach as Kirby. Space yourself, bait attacks and wait for an air-dodge (fair or hammer), bair to cancel projectiles and fair for the disjointed hurtbox. Bair is ridiculously good for characters with short reach (falcon, ness, TL [minus hookshot]) because it forces them to approach with their shield up. Spot-dodging is also safe when landing, so you can either a) set-up your spacing again or b) go for a grab.

I have no clue on Lucas.

So did I at least do a little better with Kirby/Lucas Akashi? I think I got close to winning a couple times but I kept screwing up my directions and giving you a free kill. I know I got predictable with recovering back onto the stage with rolling ._.
