three stock, or gtfo. four is acceptable only in very, very, VERY few circumstances (those of which include drunken brawl... which typically doesn't go over very well and involves countless SDs)
also itt: no items, fox only, final destination
I'm playing tonight bitches, and gdi I don't want FFAs AGAIN, it's turning me off the game. Last time, again, you fuckers made me irritated and I started PK2ing, and nailed Ryko with one and he left because it was some random ass PK2 kill he couldn't even really see coming... it was like that kid that spammed Thunder with Pikachu in your neighborhood when you were growing up and playing Smash 64; you know EXACTLY who I'm talking about...
(at least ... oh shit, I actually used throws in Smash 64. damn. [and yeah I played pika in 64 but thunder was meh])
So have I improved a little Ryko? Suprised I did better against Ike than Snake, since you've played Ike longer. I need to not be so gung-ho about running to hit you, especially vs Snake.
If nothing else, they were fun matches~
Your defensive habits have picked up to a large degree. I'd say spacing with bair is a better idea than with fair but either way spacing is spacing I guess.
... think twice before you completely toss that idea out the window
definitely need to be more defensive against ryko's snake (considering that his execution is near flawless)... but if all you're going to do is play pussy, weak-ass defense against a snake like his, he's still going to destroy you anyway because he'll set more traps and bullshit then you'll believe... balance it, take occasional grenade hits as long as it hits snake too (aka don't hit a grenade shield, careful pummeling, etc), and so forth
ryko bitches at me for getting hit by grenades but I'd rather take my 50/50 chance and land the shots when I have a chance against him
I played some fights more defensively than others, then I'd go more aggressive and force him to melee me instead of it being a dodge ball fight side stepping grenades. Either case I'd get him to 1 stock more than not before he'd up-tilt me to my death D:
His Ike I play far more aggressively, since I've played so many Ike's I know most of the tricks and such.
TL is a better camper than Snake but still having issues controlling his speed (feels faster than Sonic for me, or just more button executions within a small amount of time). As for Kirby, I have no idea how to deal with it XD
One thing I can tell you, don't Fsmash with TL against light characters, (kirby). Yeah you do hit me with both hits but I'm retarded and don't DI out of it half the time, but for a smarter players, the first hit usually lifts the lighter guy up and away from the second hit and gives some brief time to counter you.
Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuup from schooooool!
Are you going to be on long time?
I'm probably going to be on tonight somtime soon.
I hate playing snakes online, and ironically I love playing him on wifi. Offline I love the Diddy/Snake match-up because I can create walls of nanners to prevent nade spam, but online I can't dribble worth shit (or even banana lock for that matter), so my nanner game is severely gimped. I'd much rather fight latency against latency and use DK/Ike and pray for a strong hit than wait it out honestly
I find the key to beating Snakes is to actually play like Snake before Snake plays like... Snake.
What I mean is a good Snake usually switches from like "Interested" to "Uninterested." He'll attack you with jabs, grabs, and tech traps. Then after a while he'll just pull 'nades and throw them/juggle them and go back to setting traps and playing keep away.
When I use Marth against Snake, I usually go super aggressive then back off and make him come to me. If Snake comes after me, great, then let mind games ensue. If not and he goes back to camping, then you have to go back to attacking him but have to be a little more cautious. The point is to get Snake to come to you and out smart/play him. When he goes back to camping, you MUST get him to stop camping you (lol I know this is Brawl and camping is god tier but if you can't get him to stop camping some how, you're going to lose...unless you're meta). All it really takes is just one launcher mess up to put Snake airborne and ruin him. He's god awful in the air outside of B-Air and *pull pin*
Just my 2 cents considering these are the tactics that foil my Snake or how I foil other Snake's.
I don't really have to commit to any approaches against Snake as Diddy. I can throw some nanners, bait him to grab them and force an approach (or he throws them back and I regrab them and repeat the process). I can semi-camp with peanut gun, and most importantly I'm not forced into a position where I have to make the first move. I was just talking about latency and how irritating it is to avoid tilts.
Character specific stuff. As you can see I play Marth. While he does have a lot of camping tools, his camping tools are nothing compared to Diddy or Snake. Most characters can't out camp Snake. It's a fact. Your only choices are like Diddy, Snake, Dedede, ROB, and Lucario. Or Meta cause he's.... Meta.
I posted a strategy that will apply to like 70% of the cast or so.
Dedede's camping is honestly weak as hell, it's just that snake has to be smart about how he approaches by using nades in relation to his melee/shield to keep from getting grabbed. Rob can't out camp snake, he just harasses the fuck out of snake's recovery. Lucario is a joke ass character.
You do have to harass/pressure snake but intelligently. I dunno since I played ike and all my moves aside from bair and first jab smashed the ground the idea of hitting around the grenades became second nature.
Watch videos of DSF fighting D3s. He literally shits on them in terms of their attempts at CGing. B-reverse grenade (so the Snake is facing away from d3) is an amazing approach because it blows the d3 upon dthrow contact. Waddles are easy to dodge, and even though D3 has a better air-game, it'll take A LOT to get a good Snake from being flailed helplessly. I still think D3 has the advantage because if he can grab Snake it's a free 30~40% across the board, but a smart Snake won't get grabbed.
Also, ROB can outcamp Snake if you have a bad habit of dropping nades (or cooking them) then throwing them everytime. Lasers will eat your shield and blow the nade up in front of you, so just switch up your camp game and you're set.
Also I would personally hate the Marth vs. Snake match-up if I took Marth seriously. Sure Marth outranges Snake, but unless you tipper him or go for a gimp, Snake is going to last FOREVER. Not to mention Marth isn't that heavy, so an early utilt can lead into a camp fest for the Snake. 5min+ matches = no thanks
Looking for a match reply here or PM and i'll turn the wii on.
