Lookin' like I'm gonna' be a Lucario and Ike kind of guy, maybe with a side of Meta Knight. Still looking forward to Sonic, though.

BTW, Ike is fucking ridiculous.

Having the router really far from the wii (basement -> 2nd floor) wasn't terrible, would play fine for a while then randomly d/c repeatedly or slow to a crawl, then be fine, then lag and so on. Moving the router 1 foot away from the wii worked much worse for me, with slow downs and disconnects quite frequent. I guess the sweet spot is downstairs on the main floor but I can't play the wii there so I just got the usb lan adaptor and called it a day.

I don't know about you but I had alot of fun. I was getting horrible lag with other people but the lag with you was only like a second and some change so it was much easier to just get used to and play with. You're also a pretty good Ike and played him consistently so I was able to try all the characters out that I wanted and see what I played with best. I think the few times I was within +2 of your score were with Olimar, Pit, Lucas and PT a few times, so I'm going to try and use those characters more often. I played with a friend of mine later that night and raped him so hard. We fooled around and at this point I had unlocked Lucario and was doing really well with him. I want to try Lucario against your Ike though, see if it's relatively good. I have some good ideas for Lucario play, mostly taking advantage of his range since I love it. That and his down+B, I always love predicting shit especially during recovery. However, I've noticed sometimes he'll try and do the counter and go the complete wrong way and end up self-destructing or giving my opponent the kill, i.e. I'll be sent under the platform on FD and KO; or the counter will miss and I'll end up in their down smash and be koed. I dunno, it's weird but certainly fun.

Yup, its pretty annoying, happened to me all weekend, but I just played 2-3 matches against the computer while waiting if it ever happened. I'll be home in a couple hours ready to brawl online if anyone will be on at that time.

First day, I was having no problems connecting to people and playing games (with friends).

Now, I can't join anyone's games and noone is joining mine


Having equal problems playing against 'anyone'. I've NEVER gotten that to work. It always says 'seeking' for the other players, and never updates.

edit: trying to join thar's game for instance. It connects me to an empty room, says the 'rules have been changed' after about 10 seconds. Then nothing for the rest of the time. occasionally says I can't join the room and boots me after a bit.

if a game is already in progress you get shoved into an empty looking room but you're actually in queue for whenever those people get dumped out of a game. So you'll wait however long is left in the game then you'll be joined up and you'll see the other people as you normally would.
