I unfortunately work with a quite a few of said dumb people. Walk around the office swearing that SARS, Avian Flu, West Nile etc...are all signs that the end times are at hand and shit and that our lovable magician in the sky is punishing us for something we did last week apparently.

Thus far, when one googles "Concerned Citizens for a Better America" the only results you get are bloggers wondering who these people are.

i thought it kinda sounded more like a republican-supporting organization because it refers to 9/11 and all. of all the people left in there he seems to be the only one that would want to put emphasis on that, since he wants to 'win' the war in Iraq

edit: and his position on health care seems to shy away from the universal health care coverage

What's wrong with these billboards? Ok the 9/11 is going to far. The ones about "free" health-care are spot on though.

First off, the group that's posted on the billboard is unidentified. It's not a business according to the WA Secy of State's office, it's not a registered interest group or PAC (527, 501c3).. for all we know it could be one of the political campaigns.

Second, if the billboards stay up past 15 September, they become a violation of law under the McCain/Feingold Campaign Reform Act because they can influence the outcome of an election. Now, I know there's people who will agree with me in saying that McCain/Feingold went a bit too far in this particular area because it can be viewed as a supression of 1st Amendment rights.. but still a law is a law until it's repealed or struck down by the courts.

The billboards don't name a specific candidate and, as far as we know, they were not paid for by a corporation or with corporate money. How would they violate the reform act? I'm really asking. I don't know. I just read the wiki.
