    Er... no, which windower?

I haven't used any 3rd party windower ever, and I only put POL in windowed mode because it used to blue screen me when I exited it. I'm glad it doesn't do this anymore, but my update for POL still times out.

What's the word on cure-lock, and spell-lock in general? Have people merited enough to have a solid answer?

If cure lock is really gone for good, then I shall be a happy panda, even with the silly useless /dnc nerf and zerg drk nerf.

er forgive me, i made the assumption when you said windower that you meant the 3rd party program. as for the windowed version of ffxi, i honestly think unless this has been a recurring problem for you, it was just last night. my girlfriend got home from work around midnight est, and at about 2am just gave up, there was just such a crush of ppl downloading combined with the largest update i can remember since they added PMs 7-8. if it continues to be a problem, check tech support, but i would suspect it'll likely be better today.

ninja rapid shot proc rate increase? anyone able to test this out besides me? perhaps placebo but i seriously doubt it as i've been rng'ing it up in campaign the last 3 days and, given my lack of rapid shot merits, and belief that the rapid shot+5 on af2 body never did shit, rapid shot really never went off for me, maybe 1 in 20+ shots. i could swear it's going off a lot more frequently now than it ever did before (i have 1 merit in rapid shot, and was wearing af2 body), was going off about 12-16% of the time (1/6 to 1/8 shots)

I tested it a bit and, pretty much just like they said, it is still present but extremely reduced.

Maybe instead of 3-4 seconds of freeze it is more like .25-.5?

It really is about time Ninja get something worthwhile, what happened to that enmity JA they were talking about?

The whole "NIN have shadows!!! they don't need anything else!" is getting kind of old... especially when it seems they're just giving JA away like Collaborator and the new SAM one. Monomi is nice, but why can't NIN get something they don't have to share with everyone else?

Also, something other than Sange would be nice... in fact sange should just be a basic JA altogether instead of meritting.

I guess, that sounds a bit whiny... but c'mon.

    Disclaimer: possible dumb questions ahead!

    Regarding collaborator...

One minute reuse is great, allows THF to steal so much enmity over time... and to plant all that on the tank. But does it work like that?

I thought one of the major issues that wasnt solved with accomplice was that THFs still werent generating more hate with our TAs as much as DD/THF. But now if we collaborate all pt members, then TA, it makes us hate planting monsters!(?) And decent Co tanks :D

Id say i like this ability more than THF getting a damage upgrade... But what is better: 25% enmity stolen from 5 melees stacked with a 700dmg TAWS on the tank, or a SAM/THF doing a 1300 gekko? id assume(and hope) that collaborator wins for hate placement. Ive never equipped enmity to do TA, even though there is some +enmity on thief JSE. I just thought that it was a mild suggestion that thief can be a tank.

Regardless.. thief has played some of the most bizarre and unique roles in the game thus far from my experience. I love it!

It's already been said numerous times. TA does NOT transfer all of your enmity, it only transfers the enmity of the single attack or WS. Collaborator and Accomplice cannot have any affect on TA in any way, shape, or form.

Nah, I still think Collaborator and Accomplice are good additions. Since THFs primarily will TA their WS and their melee damage is lower compared to the heavy hitters it makes them a perfect candidate to take on other players' enmity to even out the hate distribution in a party. It fits right in line with the TA concept.

So skill and weather obviously factor in how much you get back. Roughly .9MP per 1 skill I guess for the same element as day.
From my testing, and it looks like it agrees with your numbers, I came up with smn skill -50 for the mp you get back, +10% for the right day, -10% for the "wrong" day
Is weather having any affect? I know SE said day before, but it wouldn't be a huge leap of logic to think weather had an affect on elementals.

Rejoice about the SAM buff, or cry about the Haste cap... I can't decide.
