I haven't encountered him yet, not unlocked for most people I played with save Russta I think, but what about him is bad? He didn't seem that strong in the videos I saw.

This is gonna sound really pretentious but it's not the character that's cheap, you just havent thought out a way around whatever theyre doing. If wolf or falco would ever get removed from play dedede would be removed firxt unles fighting one of like 7 characters.

It's cheap because its completely unavoidable. When you die you're set on the floatly platform. Except with his final smash, he flies up so you're forced to land on the platform and you die instantly from going to high. I couldnt get off the tank fast enough to do anything other then die 2-3 times in a row instantly.

Run off of it, it might not seem possible but ike runs like molasses and he can do it, run the opposite direction the landmaster goes if it moves laterally at all, fake it. Its weakness is that it's manually controlled, human error and mind games can keep you alive.

Note: Run, not jump, if you jump the floor (tank) will rise and youll just do the landing animation instead.

Quit playing on final destination like a tourneyfag and use the level to your advantage! In all seriousness, it is a bullshit fs, but it's pretty shitty on some levels and real easy to avoid, so if someone's spamming fox/falco/wolf it's time to bring out zelda or electroplankton or some other stage.

I was playing PT and I couldnt do it fast enough with Ivysaur or Charizard.

Stop QQ'ing about Wolf's Final Smash: all, I repeat ALL, Final Smashes can be avoided somehow. Even PK Meteor or whatever it is called can be dodged (although it's pretty rare). I can see some FS along the road being devastating when the player base becomes more experienced - Snake's FS comes to mind - but Wolf is hardly a cheater character, rather, he's a lot easier to use at first.

This game has only been out for a few days, let's wait a lil guys. :D

edit: when I said you can dodge, I obviously meant in a normal situation. Getting a Super Mushroom with Jiggly at FD then

After weeks and weeks of having to deal with it, I dodge PK Shitstorm more than it hits me now. The only thing that pisses me off is that it takes no skill to use and no skill to break the Smash Ball as Ness/Lucas.

The only thing that pisses me off is that it takes no skill to use and no skill to break the Smash Ball as Ness/Lucas.

Omg yeah -.- I can't count the number of times I've seen Lucas stand in the background and get the last hit with PK Thunder. Fortunately his FS isn't that devastating (if it was something like DK I'd be pissed) and, like we both mentioned, can be dodged with some precision/luck/skill.

If you're getting killed 2-3 times in a row by the same Final Smash, you're doing something really wrong. Just stay on the starting platform if it does kill you, his Final Smash doesn't last long enough to get 2 kills in if you do that.

It's definitely too short to kill you 3 times though. If he nailed you at the very very beginning of his Final Smash, it might be possible to get 2, but 3 simply can't be done if you wait it out on the platform it seems.

It's also definitely possible to get off the Landmaster every time. Was playing Ryko 1v1 earlier, even with a slow character like Ike he was able to escape before I took him off the stage.

Just turn them off altogether, FS are imbalanced among the characters and frustrating.

Though if I'm a star fox char too, the landmaster is pretty useless against me lol.
