Same here, especially when your dealing with 30-40 people looking for the same damn ???. I've just spent 4 hours looking for the Pieste Dung for my body, and not a single pop. --;Originally Posted by Lordwafik

In response to finding easer Yags to farm Yagudo Glue: you can enter the zone to Fort Karugo-Narugo [S] from Meriphataud Mountains [S] at K-11 and there are a bunch of Yags in the open area there. Generally Easy Prey to Decent Challenge at 75, and the Yagudo Drummers there drop the glue. I farmed it from them yesterday as 75 SAM/DNC and had no problems. I had to try and find something easier to solo than the VT Chanters that were owning me.
Hope that helps.
New report, confirming that markings at Vukurl Inlet [S] (D-11) only pop in wind weather.
Just went 5/5 on the gear.
I honestly believe that you can get this AF relatively cheap. It took me about 4 hours to get it all (lucky Yagudo Glue drop off of 4th mob) and I have to say, it wasn't as bad as I thought.
Someone on my server said it took her about 900k to finish it all and it took me only about 215~220k. The simple cheat is just to go to the auction house and just bid stupidly low on the items you need or have a friend craft them for you.
The Wolf Felt was going for 150k on my server and I was able to just start @60k and bid up until I got it. I got it for 78k. Who honestly undercuts that low? The AH is so over flooded with DNC items that ppl are desperate to get them to sell before the price falls so they undercut too much.
As for the actual AF, I think it's a pretty solid set. The Pants are pretty terrible and I will definitely replace them immediately, if not just stick with Subligar/Crow. Still it is free gear till Dusk and Zerahs. The feet I feel are a pretty good choice vs. Leaping until again, Dusk. Body and Head are obviously macro choices.
But the hands is where I'm stuck on. Do you full time them? I mean, macro swapping is the most obvious choice but with the low recast on steps, is it really worth it switch to better gear and then back almost every few seconds? It seems frustrating, a waste of time, and a waste of money. Does anyone else agree? I want to see if you guys feel the same way or am I just "lol n00b who wants to be cheap and conserve cash"?
The whole set (including Legs) actually looks nice for their levels.Originally Posted by Tsutsumiko
Here's how I'm using everything at 73:
Head: Macro in for Sambas, then switch out after it takes effect.
Body: Macro in for Waltzes, then out after.
Hands: Full time for the same reason you mentioned. I only take them off for WS gear.
Legs: Town gear to complete the set.
Feet: Manually equip when not fighting. These are really nice with Spectral Jig.
mine popped when double lightning weather ended and it was clear skies.... so that isn't the case ~Originally Posted by Kimiko
I actually had a "full accuracy" set that I was using before they increased the accuracy of steps in the patch, and I'd macro it in for Steps and Flourishes. But the hands is where I'm stuck on. Switches W. Turban to O hat, Rapparee to Pahluwan body, Pahluwan hands to AF (on the assumption it's more than +5 acc from AF), Swift Belt to Life Belt, and Barb. Zerehs to Pahluwan legs.
Net result of +26 acc, plus the AF bonus. I figure if I'm already switching out all the other stuff, I may as well just include the AF in there.
This is similar to what I do, except I don't change quite as many things (I don't use Rapparee since I offhand Joyeuse, and I don't have Zerehs). My macros are getting kind of full, but if you're using Windower, I don't see why you couldn't swap AF legs in for Curing Waltzes. Personally, I'll be getting the whole set so I can store it, so that's taking up inventory when I'm on DNC regardless, and I'll already be blinking for Curing Waltz to swap in the body. May as well use the legs too.Originally Posted by jibini
I remember farming Soulflayers for 4 hours, finally getting a robe for each of us, and watching as they all exploded. I remember thinking that was the worst thing possible in terms of getting AF.Originally Posted by Varg
Then I spent over TEN hours in Pashow Marshy Shithole [S] to get a piece for my AF legs, and a total of over Fourteen hours to get all my AF. So yes, I much rather would have paid for it, and my ass is broke as fuck.
Why does Dancer get Male and Female AF and Scholar doesn't? No matter how awesome the Scholar update was, it kinda sucks that I have to enjoy it looking like a boy... -.-
Hmm, I just camped the confirmed spots of the markings on Scholar AF and waited it for it to pop. I got all 3 pieces in a coupe hours. The only thing I ever had to wait for was the change of a game-day. Usually took 5-20 minutes for the markings to pop.
SCH is only bad because right now, everyone who's ever leveled SCH, and those just hitting 50 on it, are looking for the ???s. In a month, there will only be 2-3 at a time, at most, looking for it.
Although, it sounds like the DNC's and SCH's need to get together and trade accounts for a day. They can get each other AF, then switch back.

But really, I felt the whole idea behind AF, was a series of quests to get some decent gear for your character, that could last til 70+. Buying sounds anthenma to that.
