How can you dare compare B2 to Kirin lol...

In B2 a ton of shit can happen, every great ls has wiped to it at least once I'm sure... (Below 5 attempts doesn't count obviously)

@ Kirin you can simply do it with the 'throw more bodies at it' mentality. No time limit, no member limit, significantly easier. (Although Kirin with 18 is still somewhat of a challenge!)

i'm not necessarily in favor of this update, but you're a real moron for thinking Bahamut and "trivial" being in the same sentence is a good thing.

i won't deny that i like Bahamut being trivial because when you've done it ten times the hard way, you've done it a hundred times the hard way, but Bahamut was never intended to be trivial, it's supposed to be the hardest BC in the game.
Bolded the important part. Sendoh never states he didn't find it trivial, he states it's intended by SE to be non-trivial.

If you are in BG I am extremely disappointed. I hope you are the only one in BG that thinks the fight is anything but trivial.

The BC makes me think of "World's Tallest Midget".
    Are you serious? lol

My LS has never zerged Bahamut V2 a single time, despite us being more than capable with access to as many as 5 K Clubs and 7+ DRKs. You know why? It's a waste of time. Yet, you're arguing that anything but zerging it is a waste of time on a trivial fight? That's already enough proof you're being narrow-minded in thinking that the fastest way is really zerging, because it would seem you're not capable of killing it fast enough otherwise. All the while you feel you can bash BG and make your LS appear so much better?

BV2 fights can take as low as 12-15 minutes without zerging, with an average of about 14m on a good day. Why the hell would you trade that for taking 10 minutes on a zerg and then being limited by waiting for 2 hours to refresh? Or depend on a COR army? I know that we don't run our asses all the way up there to zerg the fight once or twice and be done, we usually go up there with 4-9 runs in mind. Zerging in that fight is far from 'necessary or a fast solution towards preventing an otherwise long (but trivial) fight.' Past doing like 2 runs, fighting it like you're supposed to is much faster. No matter how you look at it, 10 of the best and fastest zerged runs will take much longer than 10 of the fastest normal fights; at least until they come out with a Teleport-BV2 spell, either that or you magically come up with a shitload of CORs (but lol@forcing a bunch of people to come COR to refresh 2hs over and over at any event).

So how is the elimination of being able to zerg it as effectively going to change the amount of time you'll really waste? If anything you should get the better LS if you really think that the ability to not zerg BHV2 as effectively means anything towards making the fights take more time overall. I don't know where you get off thinking that BG of all linkshells suffers here.

And if you really don't find any enjoyment in any of these fights that are 'such trivial wastes of time' now, why on earth are you playing? I've probably killed HNMs as many as 100+ times and I still have fun.

This thread sounds awfully familiar... Oh yeah, it's because it's exactly like all the Ridill WARs and BB MNKs QQing last year after the 2hand patch, when they suddenly weren't the kings of merits. Good times

    Re: Haste Cap

How about a Manticore that summon's 4 minigods, runs extremely fast, grows immune to gravity, and likes to aga the hell out of an alliance.

Wow that sounds really hard, we better not consider that trivial!

P.S. Are you trying to say that B2.0 is hard?

P.S.S. If you want to continue debating the difficulty of Bahamut by all means please make another thread. I'm done posting about anything other than haste in this one.
    I think you mean:

    PS. (postscript)
    PPS. (post-postscript)

And I agree with Kenshin, if it feels that trivial why are you even playing? This whole haste thing is much ado about nothing.

    I play for the people.

    Why do you play?

And Kenshin.. try bringing COR, no you don't need an army and saving up 9 is just silly. Why not save up 50 and do them all? Why not a million? There is no reason it should take you 10 minutes to prepare for a zerg.

DRK zerg is used on very few events. My question is why did they even bother to nerf it? And why would anyone want it nerfed? You idiots want to take 15 mintues to do a 30 second run, be my guest. Fact is that it can still be done in 30 seconds, and all they really di was delay the inevitable which is the widerspred use of MK.

I've probably killed HNMs as many as 100+ times and I still have fun.
This is a fucking BC, if you get your jollies off of raping the same dragon 100 times great for you. We do it for gil.

You only think this fight is trivial because you're using the same strategy that BG and other LSs devised. When that BC first came out, no one was calling it trivial. Just because you can read a forum and copy a strategy a few times doesn't make you some sort of elite strategist. Sure, it's easy as hell a year and a half (or something, I don't remember when it came out) later, but I don't see you saying any of this then.

The linkshell that posted details about Bahamut and how they beat him on (Jan 2005 or 2006?) on BG would happen to be Quizno's, while others were crying about how hard the BC is. We are more then capable to beat it in probably like 15-20min. For us however its been a lot easier to bring a few DRKs and a few CORs and do it 2-3 times, one time we actually did it without 2hr and just had mages cure bomb everyone and that worked as well.

Personally I wish Bahamut was nonburnable because it was a really fun fight before we found out we could burn it, but burning it does save us some time. Honestly though I think I might make my linkshell fight it the real way this week just for fun.

The linkshell that was first to beat Bahamut (NA wise, (only maybe 1-2 other groups beat it prior and didn't say anything) and post it on BG with exact strategy we used, that made other linkshells follow and beat it in the same week. That linkshell would happen to be us, the one Quizno is in.

Actually, I'm in the LS that devised the first successful strategy (among non JP LS) and posted the work on this website.

I was one of the first 18 people to beat Bahamut (again non JP).

And yes, the fact that it is an old ass BC does in fact lend itself to being trivial. People couldn't figure out how to beat fafnir when it first came out... now it takes like 5 minutes to kill.

Edit: bleh stan beat me to it.

what does it being a BC have to do with anything? a mob is a mob is a mob, this is an MMORPG where people kill mobs (as if there are thousands of other ways to get jollies in the game). who cares where people kill it, BCs prevent people from throwing 3 alliances at stuff you can kill with one or less. you don't even have a point here. what mob hasn't been killed 100x besides AV and Odin?

and which BC isn't older and not trivial? the only thing you actually have fun doing in the game is Einherjar and Salvage?

Actually I have the most fun just hanging out, crafting, and leveling one of my mules.

The fact that Bahamut is a BC makes it repeatable over and over and over and over.... If you do it 9 times in one run like Kenshin says he does, I'm pretty sure that makes the BC trivial. Does that make you sad? Did you forget that this is the "advanced" forum? People here SHOULD view bahamut as trivial by now. Perhaps you forgot what you started bickering about. Time for you to go back and read your own posts.

And yes Stan and I have disagreed on a lot of things over the last 3 years or so... Perhaps you agree with everyone in BG?

    Padding your post count?

Keep up the good work Sparky.

I give up. If you guys want to think that Bahamut is hard, have fun in your dream world. If you want to think that changing the haste cap does anything but waste more time, whatever.

There isn't any real exceptional gear from Baha 2. Yeah summoners get a nifty staff, and the mask will soon be obsolete because of the new WOTG armor.

Baha 2 isn't for fun. It's for gil. There is nothing fun about redundancy which is what much of this game is become.

Glad some of you get high from doing NMs the hard way to placate your game ethics. Not everyone feels the same way though.
