I'd say only use beret when resists are an issue and AF for everything else, 4INT and more efficient mp/tic is much more valuable then 2MAB imo.

I think the way Fast cast works is, the amount of recast it cuts down is double the amount of recast it takes off. This is probably similar and I'd think an item that say it reduces spellcasting time, would mean at the very least the time to cast a spell.

If it did, it would suck. Which it don't.

Everything is based off the scholar's skill, the only thing that doesn't transfer is gear that specifically enhances certain things (like stone gorget on stoneskin)

Question but ive done some testing with recast time and i cant seem to nail the exact recast % on sch feet. It seems to be between 2.5% and 4%. I dont have the test i've done so far but they were made using RR and klimaform sence they have the longest recast timers (60 sec and 180 sec base recast)

I was wondering: Was it SE's design from the very beginning that a SCH could nuke as hard as a BLM and cure as high as a WHM if they use Ebullience/Rapture? Because lately, I am finding my SCH outdamaging my BLM in most everything (only when I use Sorc Ring can I do higher damage) and that my Raptured Cure IVs are outpacing other WHM Cure Vs.

It is just too easy to be useful as SCH in nearly every situation

You must have some sucky WHM's then >.> My Cure V's heal for 844 without day/weather/medicine ring bonuses. Rapture with Light Staff and light weather shouldn't do more then 620. That's about as much as my WHM do naked >.>

Yeah, you must be playing with some really gimp WHMs if rapture Cure IV is doing more than Cure V. I'm pretty sure mine hit for 800 in MP gear.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Rapture basically put cures on crack? Wouldn't it heal more than Cure V in general because of the huge boost it gives?

Re: Scholar Discussion #3 (post March patch)

Rapture and Ebullience only gives a 20% boost, so with weather/day and all other junk SCH can hit 700 on a cure IV, but that is with full buffs.

Yes a SCH can hit higher numbers than a blm, sure they can cure as high as a whm. BUT they cant do both at once and switching between the arts mid battle is taxing. Once the first 4-5 mins pass in the fight, the SCH is out of charges to keep those numbers up.

SE got the job just right in their intention. A mage with knowledge and tatics to handle any situation ( and all the fancy tools/spells at their disposal )

Same way I found out : They hit for 0-4, not worth keeping it up. I think this is because chariots are heavily light based (drop light crystal in nyzul) so maybe en-dark would help. However, nuking them on blm was never giving me amazing damage for my MP so they're just shitty.

I think that Rapture actually gives much more than a 20% boost.

Not sure on the correct numbers but a Cure IV does around 400 and a Rapture Cure IV something around 600. I'm not at my PC to check the correct numbers in game but I think Rapture is something around a 40 to 50% bonus to healing magic spells.

Oh, ok. Reading the comment, I wasn't sure if it was a zone-makes-enspellga-not-work thing or if it was just a chariot-resist thing.

50% bonus to healing spells, 20% on nukes.

Anyway, unless my math is horribly wrong, its 380x1.7=646, assuming light staff, light weather and rapture. Unless he cheat with Divine Seal, I don't see how he can heal for more then even an average WHM with Noble's and Light/Healing/Templar.

646 is exactly what I get unless weather procs either way.

WHM Cure V should still beat this easily.

Also, I'm found myself getting into a lot of hate issues when main healing since you have such good MP efficiency and AoE Cure IV. I invested in like a -40 enmity set and it helps quite a bit (little bit of stating the obvious).
