I'll say it now. My money is on the belief that this was a mistake in the coding brought on by the Tier II enspells addition.

It is. Check the announcement on the PoL Viewer. Among the other things that were broken "accidentally" this patch is BST Charm and PUP (lol) Automaton damage.

If it weren't for the crappy merits I might play SCH over BLM in nuking role, but it just doesn't compare to a fully merited and well geared BLM.

But we still can outnuke blms overtime.

AF. You want to get as close to or above 320 skil/120 int for hnm's and such.

Only in fights where BLMs don't have an opportunity to rest mp. In any fight where there's enough time to recover mp between nukes (Faff ect.) BLM will still do more damage.

Well first you should always be using a thunder obi (and ice obi if you have stormsurge meritted), since you can control what weather is on you.

Second, you could probably get away with the Mahant(sp) feet (the +2 MAB ones with the -movement) since you are using elemental torque, or yigit feet would be the best feet imo. Also you might want to try to get the Vicious Mufflers for +5MAB, which would be a slight improvement over the Yigit Hands.

Then work on getting your AF head upgraded (or Maat's Cap) for extra Int, or if you do SCNM's you can try for that Yag hat(+2MAB +2Int), And there's a +2MAB neck that drops from treasure caskets in sky, that you could use until Uggy kicks in. Then top it all off with a Novio and that would be the best "low resist" nuking gear Imo.

So to recap(the best low resist nuking gear imo):
HQ Staff
Bugard strap +1
Phantom Tathlum
Maat's Cap (Ree Habalo's Headgear > Af1+1 head > AF1 Head)
Ugg Pendant (When ugg lantent isn't active Prudence torque > Caract Choker > +3Int neck)

I personally don't use for one inventory reasons. That might change once I can use the Satchel.

Huh? Argute beat them at all aspect, you are trading 20% Spell intteruption rate, for 7 enfeebling skill, but they bascialy have the same stats, except added 3 INT, both have enimity -2 which is the important part. for inventory sake Argute certainly wins the spot.


Dark grip..yea not worth the space, i personaly carry enough on SCH, can't spare the space for grips.

Anyone find it odd that after all these months since SCH AF2 has been released, no one has seen the belt drop anywhere except Dynamis-Qufim?

I look on wiki and it still has the verification needed tag next to Dynamis-Buburimu. :/

Shouldn't some have seen one somewhere other than Qufim by now? Maybe the drop rate on second zone is broken for Argute Belt?
