I dunno, I really cant justify a movement set with desert boots, I guess since technically it isnt 100% of the time there are draw backs.

Maybe some good healing pants? the MP+ enmity - and cure pot?
    --
Is there any good viable nuking options for these pants? the MACC+4 and MATK+4 seems good, but not better than mahatma, but lord knows i could be very wrong.

With Desert boots, you need to spend 27-36MP every 3minish (I think that's the duration). That and the fact that you have to stop to cast the spell (Counter objective to movement speed) means relying on Desert Boots are highly unreliable in the most difficult solo situations.

Accompanying Question: Is 8% Movement speed enough for kiting most of the SCH solos?

Cure pants would probably be Cure Potency, MP, and Enmity Reduction. If you're not interested in movement speed, these pants are far superior to any other option available.

Elemental magic legs would obviously be Magic Accuracy and MAB.

Accompanying Question: What exactly does 320/120 represent? I know it's based on Tiamat's statuses, but is it possible to sacrifice some INT for Skill/Magic ACC? I ask namely because 4 Magic ACC should be equal to 8 INT resist wise if it works like certain enfeebles.

I was just wondering if any sch's here have actually gone to certain wyrms and nuked etc. If so what gear sets do you use for resist etc.

I've used SCH on Faf/Nid, and came out pretty well (As well as BLM) with an "Ok" Setup which was :

    Main: Aquilos
    Sub: Bugard Strap +1
    Head: Elite Beret +1
    Body: Scholar's Gown
    Back: Prism Cape
    Waist: Penitents Rope
    Hands: Errant Cuffs
    Neck: Elemental Torque
    Ammo: Phantom Tath
    Earring1: Moldy
    Earring2: Morion +1
    Ring1: Omega Ring
    Ring2: Snow Ring
    Legs: Mahatma Slops
    Feet: LolRostrum

Still plenty to improve on, Havent had a chance to try Tia with this set up since returning to the game. Had Hailstorm on with capped Stormsurge and had Cream Puffs on at all times.

    T4/T3:
    Main: Jupter's Staff
    Sub: Bugard Strap +1
    Ranged: Phantom Tathlum
    Head: Argute Mortarboard
    Neck: Elemental/Uggalepih
    Ears: Moldavite/Phantom
    Body: Scholar's Gown +1
    Hands: Genie Gages
    Rings: Omega/Snow
    Back: Prism Cape
    Waist: Rairin Obi
    Legs: Mahatma Slops
    Feet: Goliard Clogs

    Helix:
    Main: Jupiter's Staff
    Sub: Bugard Strap +1
    Ranged: Phantom Tathlum
    Head: Scholar's Mortarboard
    Neck: Prudence Torque
    Ears: 2x Phantom
    Body: Errant Houppelande
    Hands: Errant Cuffs
    Rings: Omega/Snow
    Back: Prism Cape
    Waist: Penitent's Rope
    Legs: Mahatma Slops
    Feet: Goliard Clogs

For Fafnir and Nidhogg, that's around 1k per T4 with 1.4k on MB, around 120-130/tick Helix. Tiamat, 400-500 T4 with 200-300 T3. Thunder weather only.

Been a long time since I've done HNM though.

320/120 represents two things: 1.) the amount of magic accuracy required to land damage spells (which is what VS linked out to) and 2.) the amount of INT required to not be negatively impacted by dINT when damage is calculated. Of course, as you noted, since then it has become generalized nomenclature to represent a general resist set.

It seems that unlike melee, there is no agreed upon magic ACC tiers for different mobs. To exemplify what I mean, take ACC on DDs for instance:

    Colibri: 407ACC
    Mamools and Moderate mobs: 420ACC
    Higher level mobs: 420-430ACC

If this were to work for the nuking community, we would need information on the INT (To establish dINT=10) of general mobs such as Puddings, Dynamis Mobs, Limbus mobs, and other mobs of that sort. In essence, this would be an effort to make "blanket" statements for each tier of mobs, but it's much better to adhere to multiple blanket statements than only one as far as maximizing potential goes.

Not sure if this was mentioned anywhere else, but I was fighing the new Taru Fomor NM in Eld [S] last night and tried to use MV and it missed, and used up the timer too. I was the only Sch there and I didn't do anything different than I normally do.

So I guess this is SE's "fix" for MV stacking.

SE stated in the patch notes that some NMs would have a strait-up resistance to Modus Veritas.

Ya I know, I was just stating that at least one of these new Fomors are resistant to MV. Also, I wasn't sure if anyone else posted how it would be resisted (it could've been like other magic resists and get a 1/2, 1/4 type thing). Sorry for posting Sch information in the Sch thread.

Did you ever do this? or anyone for that matter? I'd like to take out blink casting from my macros but I'm unsure how to edit the dats to replace SCH JA audio's with the motionless dancer dats :<

Any advice on G5 fight in regards to whether to kill the book first or just go for Gunther?

I've been trying to just ignore book and ebullience/alacrity nuke Gunther to death since I'm elvaan with about 550mp for the fight, but I'm not having much luck so far. I've had a few close calls (within one nuke before dying), and a few losses when book popped light and stone element.

Basic order is what I've seen posted on vids and wiki, etc. but still not having much luck.

No, you implied that the resist and the fix are the same thing when there are two different changes that were implemented. First, MV no longer can be stacked on any mob. There is a cool-down period before a mob can be subjected to MV again. This is the fix. Second, some NMs will flat-out resist MV, regardless of how recently MV has been used on it. Neither change has any bearing on the other.

So you didn't like how I worded the information. Again sorry. Next time I find a NM that resists MV I'll be sure to keep it to myself.

Do you have any proof of the bolded part? Because, you're stating 2 different things there. You're stating that MV can't be stacked, but then saying there's a cool-down period. Which is it?

Are you going to continue being a nitpicky retarded twat? Because that can be put to an end very fast.

Xanthe has been pretty clear thus far, and his language has been plain, not antagonistic. Get the sand out of your vag.

I wasn't trying to be nitpicky. He called me out on my wording and I rebuted on his wording. Turn about is fair play is it not?

But I am genuinely curious about which he did mean about the part I bolded in his previous post, because I haven't had the opportunity to test it myself.

And what I meant to say in my first post was that this Taru Fomor NM was resistant to MV, nothing more.

Well, to be fair, it doesn't seem out of order. Considering he said it can no longer be stacked, which is incorrect. I don't think its nitpicky to point out something false. I know it wasn't directed at me but still I don't see why we should condone the spreadage of bullshit.
