It still works, there's no issues at all, EXCEPT - Its a LG "Rumor", it's one of those slide phones that slide sideways with a QWERTY keypad... and you can hear the 'sticky' when you slide it open. Also, all the buttons do that - sticky noises, like a faint click when you push the buttons before they're even pushed all the way down.
How do I rectify this? I've used a wet paper towel to kinda scrub the places I can, but I surely can't get to the gears under where the phone slides, nor can I get underneath the buttons (most of the button stick has gone away since this, but not all). I've been considering removing battery > dousing in water > rinsing in alcohol (generally a safe practice for cleaning out powered down electronic devices, as alcohol evaporates very fast) or even skipping the water step and just doing the alcohol... but I'm pretty sure there's capacitors or SOMEthing in there that will still get screwed up.
Any advice?
