You do understand that Savage Blade will force Magic Mortar too, seeing that it's Fragmentation just like Dragon Kick is, right?

Master taking some damage isn't necessarily a bad thing if not fatal. They would do well to have low HP for their next Activate.Originally Posted by Genosync

I mean, if my HP was reduced from 100->45-50% instantly, I'd probably do some pretty crazy things too if I had access to them. You can bet it'll toss two hours at you instantly.
A sure way to get Magic Mortar nerfed: get together enough pups to oneshot whatever you want, and do it for about 2 months. As soon as it catches on:no more big number for joo!
lol, really, myself, I only imagine it getting capped at 200% max-current hp and nothing more... it seriously seems intentional to me, the more I think about it, but I don't know how well it's going to stand. Takes a lot of prep, way too much prep, and then you've got to keep the damn thing alive to pull it off on a mob that matters.
If you could get AV into bracelet mode in one hit, it might be a big step toward figuring him out.
AV and figure out are two things I don't really understand in the same sentence.
There's some ass backwards logic only SE could produce: a virtually impossible mob who's highest chance of defeat lies within jobs that are released years after it :/
Of course, with the inability to lock 2hrs in a meaningful manner that we can all understand, every and all theories and strategies involving AV are primarily...useless. Unless of course by some miracle AV doesn't bene, which...yeah. He's going to bene unless locked.
Yeah, to echo what some others are saying...
The problem with AV isn't "how do we do damage to him." It's "how the hell do we stay alive."
Still, pup burn seems like it could work on a lot of other HNM, if you can find the pups to make it happen D: Really, it's just a faster, more dangerous version of the bst/smn burn that has been going on for years though.
so, going back to puppetmaster ws talk..
has anything else been confirmed to increase magic mortar other than low pet* HP + Pet* tp ' -' ?

One thing to describe the discoveries of this thread.
I can (sort of) confirm the opposite. Mobs with natural M.Def Bonus or mobs with Shell on will reduce Magic Mortar damage. Tested and it seems to hold true.Originally Posted by Valkrish

Bad Puppetmasters.
I changed the title because it went from WS testing to AV ~_~, and as soon as it hits AV there's no turning back.
Guys, I figured out how to lock AVs 2 hours. It came to me in a dream~~~~~~~~
All we have to do is use PUP maneuvers to match the elemental day, then it must give back players 2hrs so you can spam them right? This in turn, locks AVs 2hr, allowing you to use the terrain to kill him with a melee whm alliance. Finally, all of the pieces are coming together.![]()
There, now this is a real AV thread.
Thread title should be "March 10th Puppetmaster WS testing~ [Now with added AV speculation!]". =(
