I was kinda hoping for a different morale tho. "Strike get you what you want, no matter how ridiculous your demands are" could have been funny
For me, the fact that they could have earned more money by working during the strike than what they got in reparations stood out more as a moral than the thing they tacked on at the very end.
And for reference, I would normally argue that a strike is worth it if it changes things for the better even if the short term cost outweighs immediate benefits, however in this episode, taken at face value... the Canadians were better off not striking in the first place. Whether that's true of the Writer's Guild, I don't know.
