South Park (Season 12)

The show is definitely not as good as it used to be, though I'll still watch it and still laugh. My problem with South Park lately is that it's devolved into a show where they'll pick one or two jokes and run with it the whole episode. If you like the joke, it's funny, if not, the whole episode sucks. Take the Indiana Jones thing, for example - it was the same goddamn joke, scene after scene. We get it, you didn't like the fucking movie, get over it. If that had been one scene I might have laughed, but after the fourth or fifth iteration of the joke it was just tiring.

It's hard to explain, that didn't quite get to the point, but I'm not sure how else to put it. I mean, Overlogging was pretty much the same joke the whole episode, but that was funny to me. I guess my problem with them is when they get too preachy with the one-note joke they pick as the theme for that episode.

Still funnier than 90% of shit on television, though. I'll agree with that.

they come up with a good episode, but do they give us 1 whole good episode?

nope, they give us 20 minutes of not funny followed by 10 minutes of funny which will undoubtably lead to the same next week

Heh Craig is awesome. I laughed at almost all the scenes with him and the boys.. the first scene where they come to his house to ask for the 100 dollars was hilarious (mostly due to Cartman..)

and lol @ the Cloverfield part... "i'm really... STARTLED".

That was honestly the most wtf episode I have ever seen. It wasn't really funny at all, so, I was expecting some REALLY funny ending, or a to be continued, and I got the to be continued. ;/

On the South park Studios the episode guide was extended to 1212, meaning either there's 2 more episodes this half season or this is the first of a 3 parter.

alright, I'm probably going to get berated for this but this was the episode I've been waiting for recently, I found myself laughing out loud during most of it. maybe because I was watching it with a friend and things are generally easier to laugh at when you're with someone but yeah. loved the randomness of the Peruvian flute bands, thought the "Pandemic" and "Peruvia's not on the map, we checked!" lines were hysterical. I dunno, I enjoyed it. to each their own.

I also liked the line about how Kyle couldn't go to Peru because he had a friend who was once raped in Peru. I got a good laugh on that.

I haven't seen cloverfield, but I thought the "I'm really really startled" (which was perfect lol) was a shot at quarantine. I think they were kind of making fun of both.

Especially if it does just end and go to a whole new episode next, cuz someone said cloverfield ended really randomly, and quarantine was the same way like... they start to figure it out and then bam it's over before it really makes any sense.

Cloverfield didn't end "randomly", we got to watch the story of the main guy and girl throughout it's entirety. They just didn't leave us with definitive answers as to what happened to the monster, which was sort of a theme with the film.

But South Park, oh that's a two parter at least, and I eagerly look forward to finding out just what the hell is going on. Having been a fan of this show since the beginning, I still think it's one of the best, and smartest, things on TV.

I think you're looking into the flute bands way too much.
