I wake up about 6:30am every morning and head to work. I work til 3:30 and leave work and head to the university, which is an hour away. I usually get home around 9:30pm, watch whatever I DVRd that night, then hit the bed around 11pm. I try to get about 7+ hours of sleep a night. I try and finish up most of my homework and studying on the weekends. My job isn't too bad though, I'm working right now. If need be, I can work on homework on and off while I'm here as well. I also have an 11 month old little girl. The current pace of my life is absurd. I could have taken the easy way out and just did 6-9 hours a week of school, but I'd rather zerg the teaching certificate and be on my merry way to low wages in a public school system. The semester of observations and student teaching should be interesting, as I can't hold a job during that period. I'm sure that'll accomodate my mortgage and child quite well. During my undergrad time at UofL, when I didn't work at all, my GPA was actually lower than what I'm currently holding at this university. Have a 4.0 going into midterms this semester, but one of my professors is teaching her last semester before she retires off to Greece. Man, she fucking grades hard. We started with 30 people in the class, were down to 8 at spring break. So I'll probably lose the 4.0. It just seems with work and a child, I'm much more structured and focused than I was right out of high school. Maybe that's the reason I'm doing better at this university than I did at UofL during my undergrad.
@ OP. Don't major in Law if you want to go to law school (actually i've never heard of a major in "Law", there's "Pre-Law" and Political Science). Id go with Psychology. Take some critical thinking classes as electives, it'll help on the LSAT.
