Just out of curiousity, why is it no one in the Marth Video's ever seems to use his tilt B. Is it super punishable or something and I'm just missing it? Or am I just watching the wrong video's, because it saves my ass and gets me a ton of kills on levels with no edge like the bridge or shadow moses.

If it gets shielded out of the third or last hit you're eating a grab, there's no way around it, as far as marth's hits go it actually is one of the most punishable. It's great for cleaning out your stale move buffer though. If you're going to use a move that has a chance to get shielded out of you might as well use fsmash because it keeps them at arm's length.

This is also true as my friend kept making that same mistake (and I am a terrible grabber in general XD)

My top 5:
Falco/Samus
Diddy Kong - I enjoy playing Diddy Kong, but against certain characters such as Ike and Meta Knight, I feel at a severe disadvantage for move priority and range.

There is a decent sized performance gap after Diddy Kong that I can't express in a list I guess. Honorable mention goes to Luigi, Peach, Marth, and Yoshi. I feel I could use these characters somewhat decently if I had to do so.


My worst 5 (not in any particular order):
Snake - I feel like I have no idea what I'm doing. Mortar Slide is fun though.
Dedede - I'm not particularly fond of his attack speed for some moves and overall moveset.
Jigglypuff - Can't use well (not that I've really tried in particular) and mostly for messing around.
Ice Climbers - I don't like having to look after two characters at once.
Olimar - I don't pay attention to Pikmin colors too well.

I'm really, really good with Game & Watch now. So many great things about him. D-throw is amazing, d-smash and f-smash are amazing, b-air is extremely hard to punish and thus makes for a good approach, d-air is extremely good and high speed (especially out of shield or followed after an up-B), bucket screws up projectile users and gives me a knockout move in the process, u-air allows me to control people that want to try to d-air me, d-tilt is a surprisingly good edgeguard, and f-air is an amazing offstage killer combined with his up-B. I have a real easy time gimping people offstage with him. I had a few matches last night where I gimped Marth TWICE with just GW's up-B. Game and Watch is a great pick for Marth and Ike, in my opinion. If they get counterhappy, just mix it up with some d-throw -> d-tilt, d-throw -> d-smash, or if your opponent likes to tech roll, just run up and grab them again.

Been getting the hang of gimping people easier with Marth, and getting better at following up the f-air combos with over-B or f-smash. Still trying to learn Ice Climbers more, so they're not up here.

Honorable mentions are Ice Climbers, Pit, Peach, Toon Link, Fox. If I had to pick 2 more to master, it'd be Ice Climbers and Toon Link.

PT is really really good! Squirtle is absolutely crazy with his aerial attacks and speed, though I think his specials suck, B is good for edgeguarding maybe. Ivysaur is an absolute beast with low KO percentages, his moves are pretty slow but some come out with surprising speed (Uair) and he can rake up damage. Good specials as well. Charizard is a monster with Rock Crush, good Fair but generally slow moves that are easy to KO with. All have good throws.

I feel like I'm better with Wolf than Ike, even though I like Ike more. People seem to fear my Wolf more than any other character. Everyone knows how Wolf is strong, but I really suck at recovering from underneath the stage.

Right now...I reckon I'm pretty solid with all my characters, Ike and Wolf being what I think are strongest for me. Though everyone else I can use with some competency.

As for Marth's tilt-b... in Melee I used it to stop attacks, it's his fastest out of the sheath, it still kind of works in Brawl but usually jumping out and aerial A is safer. The combo with tilit b is so fun though... and if you get caught in it after the 3rd hit it gives you space and extra dmg on them

Whats with all the useless pokeballs though.... it felt like in melee you had a better chance of getting something that wasnt *Goldeen* *more Goldeen* *Munchlax* and *Another Goldeen* / *Bonsley*

Lots more legendaries, but the middle ground seems to have fell off a bit, perhaps i just have horrible luck with pokeballs though.

Is awesome.

Some of the legendaries suck as you can just move two feet to the side (Entei, I'm talking about you) and avoid it entirely.

Bonsley is fucking amazing. Pick him up and toss him at someone for some quick knock outs, if they're super low, he adds a nice chunk of damage to them.
