-Luigi: messed around with him in classic, started playing him to unlock Luigi's Mansion, found out how awesomely easy it is to combo from throws to aerials, and now he's my best overall char to use. Anything that I had moderate trouble with other characters I can juggle to death easily. Need to practice against Fox/Falco/Wolf since they are bitches to juggle right. Did I mention how spamming b while using his down-b will send you up higher than your double jump? Unlike other chars I like to play, Luigi's Final Smash is easier to pull off and much more likely to take down multiple opponents, and is just cool-looking in general.
-Meta Knight: Very fun to play, unpredictable and almost impossible to edgeguard if doing it right.
-Toon link: Pretty damn amazing in SSE, strong smashes and air moves.
-Captain Falcon: FALCON PAWNCH'd Tabuu for killing him the first time :D Fun to play in SSE, I get shitkicked using him anywhere else.
-Yoshi: Again because his only weaknesses (Horrible throwing and SO easy to edgeguard against) are pretty much null in SSE. I beat 5 bosses on intense boss rush on my first try, having never done any bosses on intense. I get my ass kicked horribly in brawls though. If they gave him a normal double jump, made his up-B the megajump he currently has, make his egg throw side-b and totally get rid of the egg rolling move he has, He'd actually be pretty nice outside of SSE.
Worst:
-Peach: on easy classic mode with 5 stocks I almost game over'd![]()
-Ganondorf: WTF SIDE-B AND HIS USMASH REALLY REALLY SUCK NOW. TBH he should either keep being a slower but more powerful C. Falcon or be a slow but powerful sword-user (would be really badass btw).
-Mario: I actually liked playing him in Melee, but the Fludd and the down-aerial are truly horrible now. His meteor side-aerial is hard as hell to land, and can easily get your ass kicked if you try to edgeguard with it.
-Sonic: Sonic stage music is horribly annoying, taunts are horribly annoying, and as a character I can't find a move that kills above 150% at all really. Final Smash really sucks, but I've learned how to dodge against the CPU for the most part.
-Wolf: just because the CPU is a dumbass with final smashes. I've gotten him to roll off the stage twice while just trying to dodge being flattened under the tank.
By the way, I really fucking hate how in brawls against three CPUs, that they will always target you with their Fsmashes and the Dragoon parts.
Yoshi's recovery is really, really good. He's not that easy to edgeguard, the only times I get edgeguarded as Yoshi are when I'm being stupid. 90% of the time egg throw alone is enough to get you back to the stage, and lack of jump cancelling combined with the new air dodges makes his second jump better than ever. Pathetic grab/throws and lack of a shield jump means he has a really poor defensive game though, which I think is a big reason lots of people have trouble playing him.
Putting Super Armor on his second jump really helped out Yoshi's recovery from Melee and 64 in addition to the Egg Throw boost.
I guess it's mostly due to me double jumping and getting high enough to where I fall back down into the opponent's edgeguarding moves, instead of falling then double jumping to a much faster land, then.
SSE does let Yoshi use that double jump as an offensive tool rather than a recovery move, though, which makes him pretty great. The only real defensive game in there is dodging boss moves, really, which lets Yoshi shine much more than in brawls.
Edit: main real point is that I suck at using him in brawls, but he really does own in the single-player.
F.L.U.D.D. is wonderfully annoying at keeping people from recovering. "Yes, I'm going to make it! I'm going to-" SPLOOOOOOSH "-DAMN IT MARIO."Originally Posted by Feedmenow

Put them all together, make them worse than the characters you robbed them from, add spins/rolls in the places you don't see a move otherwise, congratulations you have Sega's representative for brawl.
They definately made Yoshi's forward-b way better. Some of his smashs feel like they have less power though, but I think that's just part of the "heavier characters are harder to kill now" thing.
Don't think I bothered to post them before but anyway
1) Captain Falcon
2) Yoshi
3) Link
4) Lucas
5) Luigi
What the heck, Forward-B if anything I found better to play mindgames or set up a smash but I can't remember his U-Smash though from Melee. I agree though he could have been similar to what Ike was except keep Ganondorf's current forward-b and triple jump.Originally Posted by Feedmenow
How does Sonic's Final Smash blow? It is prolly one of if not the best Final Smash (I prefer Wario Man but thats just me laughing whenever I am him).
Edit: NM I assume you meant it is too good?
Speaking of Captain Falcon, finally beat hardest mode on Boss Battles with Captain Falcon <3
I don't see how anyone could like Captain Falcon's side+B over Ganon's. Falcon's is like "Please punch me", while Ganon's is like "You can run, but you can't shield".

Captain Falcon's is way better for recovery (meteoring vs. killing both of you, Ganon dies before whoever he grabs and in time matches he doesn't get the point) and kills in sudden death, so I prefer it. Ganon's is still pretty awesome since a lot of people who are used to fighting Captain Falcon usually know to block.
I don't really play with much strategy, I just kinda do what instinctively comes to me but without trying use any move too much, but Raptor Boost is one of those moves that sometimes I do find myself using too much.
At least his down-b works too, I have a funny video of Sudden Death with 3 people in Pokémon Stadium one at the bottom and one on the platform. Down-B kicked the lower guy he flew knocking the guy up the platform too resulting in win XDOriginally Posted by Feedmenow
Anyone here good with Donk? My friend used to play ganandorf in melee, was nasty, played brawl for the first time against me the other day and wasn't pleased, so he tried donk. For someone who played the kong for the first time he was owning pretty damn hard (granted we play with 2 CPUs which tend to just walk over to donk as hes charging up a strong hit). Anyone else play or played against a good donk player?
Actually, assuming it's one vs one, it works like this:...in time matches he doesn't get the point)
Ganondorf: 0
Victim: -1
All the time, the guy who takes NYC weeklies regularly is a DK main and one of my friends mains him too.Originally Posted by Andarvi
My brother plays him probably more than any other character, and I've seen BRP bust him out from time to time. Do some With Anyone's and you'll eventually run into someone playing a decent DK.
I trained as Donkey Kong for a while a couple weeks ago but he hasn't seen as much action as before. I originally picked him up just because he has the most fun Final Smash to pull off, but grew to like his style of play. I often get responses like "WHY AREN'T YOU DEAD YET?!?" when I'm playing as him to which I reply a hearty "CAUSE IM DONKEY KONG." My only beef with him is that his air game sucks balls as only his Uair ever seems to have priority in a clash, unless you can get the terribly tricky timing down on his Dair (THE FOOT). Nowadays though, I'd much rather just play Ganondorf and revert back to my Melee days, now with Ganoncide fun.Originally Posted by Andarvi
