Can't really think of any others I'm particularly bad with. It's strange though, I mained falco and played a lot of fast characters in melee but I just can't make most of the faster ones work in brawl.
Thul's wolf is really good, I enjoyed playing against it.
Characters I like:
Toon Link
ROB
G&W (Retro powers, ACTIVATE!)
Wario
Wolf (I always hated playing as/against the Starfox characters, Wolf plays nothing like them so he's awesome)
Characters I dislike:
Diddy
Meta Knight (Can't K.O. with him)
Luigi
Yoshi
Marth (cheap cheap cheap cheap cheap, all of my friends who played Marth in Melee are that much better in Brawl)
Characters I am trying to learn:
Snake
Olimar
Pokemon Trainer
Dedede
Pit
Any tips for the last 5, especially Olimar? I simply can't figure out how to make him viable in FFA or 1v1. I was impressed with him in SSE, though.
Gonna have to disagree with this one sirOriginally Posted by Skirkle

I think he means He cant KO with him, like I cant with Pit... with pikachu I have no problems at all.

Well ASG Roached me with his Meta Knight so I dunno what to tell you.
me TOP 3
Lucas-I wasen't into Ness at all in the previous Smash, but after watching Rex's Lucas I became really exited for him, I started practicing with Ness in Melee for about 2 weeks before Brawl came out. I was actually a bit worried as I wasen't that great with him even after practice, but once Brawl came out and I made the switch to Lucas, I started Roaching
Pokemon Trainer- If I had one complaint it would be that it cycles Pokemon after you get KO'd, and also that you must cycle instead of pick one, would be nice if it was like 1.Charlizard 2.Ivysaur 3.Squirtle and left/right taunt would cycle them, sucks when you need to change twice for what you need, also would be nice to have a down B. ANyway that being said Ivysaur is totally buff, Squirtle has great up/down smash and great recovery, and charlizard I guess is garbage but 2/3 ain't bad.
Wario- I actually never play Wario but he's my roommates main and in the hands of someone who has put a lot of work into him it's a force. His recovery is suprising and mabye the best in the game if you work the bike/farting correctly. Mabye his own downfall is his speed/aerial moves make it easy to get the final smash from him, but than again I play Lucas (hello down+a air or PK lightning) so much.
BAD
Just wanted to throw this out there but Mario and Luigi seem to have taken a dive since mele, while a lot of the non super speed characters recived a buff these two almost feel nerfed, the water pack is such a joke, and dosen't even aid recovery which you'd think would be a no brainer, and adding that ludicris penatly to Luigi's up+B is stupid, I know you could say it's like Jigglypuff's down+B but, I dunno that feels so much stronger to me. anyone else?
I'm starting to love Falco. His B+Left/Right is great when I'm doing a 1v1, as I can get a couple extra shots in while people are in the air.
KO'ing with man-ridill is pretty easy i find. I normally teleport/slash thing people out or the attack you do while gliding
For Snake, it's a lot like playing chess and observing the enemies' movements (more easily done in 1v1 than a free-for-all). I usually play a game of cat and mouse with my friends, luring them to follow me and using his Up-A smash, and ALWAYS having a Down-A smash and Down-B mine up. For a long time I thought his Down-A in the air was sorta meh but I found out the last hit adds a pretty significant spike to it, so now I tap jump (or whatever you guys call it) and wait for the last kick to smash the target away. His neutral air is kinda weak, and I don't use it as often as I do with his back A in the air. The thing with Snake is DoT, you really need to only use his tilts and play mind games with the other player then eventually finish them off with a spike move (his tilt A actually has two parts to it, the latter can finish your enemy off 100%+). I definitely think Snake and Capt. Olimar are going to be top tier as soon as others learn how to properly utilize their moves.Originally Posted by Skirkle
Used to abuse Pikachu in Melee but for some reason he seems a lot slower in Brawl so I'm using Sonic more.Originally Posted by Boyiee

This sounds dangerously close to tier discussion, so I'm curious what people's thoughts are on this:
http://smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=141632
This was dmbrandon's "Not a Tier List" which was updated from 2008-02-04 to 2008-02-14. The thread ran until 2008-03-06 when it was locked and replaced by the stickied Tier List Discussion in the Tactical Discussion forum.
This list was the best concise/readable analysis I've seen so far.
Edit: Oh yeah, can't people just feel his love for "spacies" (Starfox characters) through his elegant prose![]()
