Dance Emotes Need to Die

Very little in the game has made me want to stab people as much as the god damned /dance spam. Pisses me off that people won't add 'motion' to it (yes "won't", I /tell them to explain how it works and they still don't), especially when they spam it 30 or 40 times. It's not even just the spammy text, it's all the idiotic flailing, too. ><

This is the reason I filter emotes in any area with a decent sum of people. I actually tend to leave it on all the time and I'm sorry if I didn't see you poke me. Feel free to send a tell if you need to get my attention.

Some of us play because we cannot, here in the real world, ally with people from all over the world and ban together to accomplish goals or put an end to an evil menace. If I could blist JUST the physical character animation/persons from appearing on my screen, I would. 90% of this game is the log so I can still see what I need to without seeing spamming-repeated-motion-only-ppl-dancing-in-front-of-Sagheera-for-20-mins-you-know-who-you-are.

Me too!!!!1one What grit do you use? I often find that starting with 60 and working my way down to 220 really gets the most out of the ritual. And there's nothing lke perfectly polished toes. Not nails, the true sexiness is when your whole foot reflects light.

Logical progression--proponents of /dances decide to make animations to stomp the yard. Then it's on.

Two things have happened since I put up this thread that have me torn on the issue...
1) I knew my LS would be nuts over the things and make tuesday dynamis painful... so I skipped. I was unsurprised to hear afterwards about naked galka and elvaan dancing on corpses during wipes. This made me cry.
However--
2) A taru friend came up with this freaking awesome macro on his SCH... he busts out a book, starts casting CureIII and does the /jig motion during casting. That was absolutely adorable. /dance4 is the new /panic for taru casting macros!


...I would hope I might be able to leave the taru dances in, rawr. Moreover, the fact they can jump a vertical higher than their normal standing height and so high it covers their player name is comedy. Since SE says they made the macros 'by popular demand', can we have taru macros for their adorable asuran and mistrals, too? Pretty please?
