I am pretty happy about it. I hope they don't screw it up and make the pets somehow useless at endgame.

Also I am very happy that Sambas work on pets, like they should have when first implemented. 70DNC/35BST at the Red Kisser (DC) / Colibri camp (T) is so perfect with Drain Samba III. It's too easy in fact. The Decent Challenge leeches have like 50% hp left when I use Leave and weaponskill. When I miss charm, I swap in evasion gear and just tank it.

It just seems like the standard housecleaning of items they do every patch, from the time i saw the Coeurl, Slime and Leech pets in the update notes i knew it was a mistake because when Eft, Antlion and Diremite came out that was a huge announcement in that update feature.

Hopefylly instead of fooling around they customize those pets - the Lynx with leash for the HQ coeurl, a unique skin slime for HQ slime and a unique skin leech for the HQ leech.

Maybe thats what they should have done with the old pets in the first place.

These new potential jugs sound cool, but at the moment I'm more interested in the details of Roborant and Poultice. Not sure if they've been figured out already, since I haven't had time to play since the update.

Anyone got any details? And how useful are they beyond AF1/+1 and/or AF2 macro'ed into Reward?

Thanks in advance for any information. ^^

The ingredients for the first one = Scream Fungus, which is only available from gardening or choco digging, aka don't expect abundancy.

Those pets, while the icons were updated, I don't see them coming into the game at any time soon, probably saving it for a "Slow update" where they have nothing else to release (which woulda been perfect for this one )

Bought a stack of screaming fungus as soon as I saw the recipe. Seems the fish desynths from a item called Goblin Weel (HQ2). Sadly haven't been able to get a hold of the frog material, would love to be able to test this item out.

Re: Beastmasters Excited as I am?

I'm testing poultice now. It seems... underwhelming: doesn't restore HP, doesn't seem to remove status ailments (even with AF/relic, though I haven't tested fully). It just adds regen. Don't know how the regen stacks up to the regular pet food regen, though.

Edit: Poultice regen lasts 5 minutes, versus the 3 minute regen from normal pet food. Dunno about potency.
Edit2: It's also a higher tier than normal pet food regen (as in, poultice regen will overwrite but not be overwritten by normal pet food regen).

Been in the Dats forever. I just hope if they finally release them, that they are uncapped/reasonable to obtain. I've been trying to fish up the Ca Cuong for about 2 hours now. Only 20 fishing. A stack of Brass Loach and half a stack of eel for my troubles. There's one fish that I can't pull up though.

Anyone have any luck fishing these? I've tried to the two rivers and the waters near the Sidhe (Fairies)

    Why do you use leave?

No, they wont be endgame useful

I might have a wander out there and try my luck with them. What bait are you using? The description of the Ca Cuong says it's a carnivorous insect. So maybe meatballs could do the trick? Then again being "carnivorous" could include worms, lures or anything like that rather than just simple meat. I can't imagine an insect giving you enough trouble that you can't fish it up. That's probably something else.

Re: Beastmasters Excited as I am?

The unrleased jugs strke me as odd..
I think the best thing we could do is ask a GM if those jug are already in game, or are yet to be implemented..
for all we know, they could have been officially released long ago (before CoP) but their recipes were so obscure and unlisted that they haven't been made to this day.. it might make sense.. these are Torama, Leech and Slimes.. mobs from the core game...

as for the Poultice and Robocant.. they seem kinda awkward if they're just regen.. tried testing for stat boosts?

Re: Beastmasters Excited as I am?

Even if SE release those jugpets it's unlikely they will change BST gameplay much. The main weakness of jugpets is low melee/TP move acc vs VT+, introducing new jugpet without boosting their baseline accuracy is pointless. We already have huge range of variety to choose from and players will always stick to CC if tanking is required and Lars for higher damge output.

A better solution is to create a new job ability that allows BST to convert charmed mob into jugpet. BST is only allowed to carry one of these "pokemons" at any given time. To avoid abuse, each pokemon will have a fixed shelflife and once summoned the duration depends on their level - for example, EP and below 2hr, DC 90mins, EM 30mins, T+ 15mins. BST can actually use 2hr to extend the duration of T+ pet to 30mins. Will help BST greatly in both meripo and endgame activities.

Re: Beastmasters Excited as I am?

The new jug pets would have been nice, but I am still excited about Sambas now working for pets and the lowered Reward timer.

The two new Foods as it stands are Meh in my Book. One Erases the other Gives a Stronger then Zeta Regen. They do stack to 99 so thats a nice bonus.

Pallas's Shield according to Alla BST Forum gives 5% Bonus to Reward and DEF +10%. Which is great for Jug Pet Tanking. Go /DNC for Samba Pop Regen Food > Zeta > Erase, wash repeat and watch Carrie go!

Yeah, people are forgetting that while the jugs and stuff might not be in, Bst/Dnc just got a wicked ass buff.

Used several stacks of little worms and tried a couple times with Sabiki lures with a Halycon rod. I'm fairly new to fishing so I took the advice of another fisher on what to use.
