My friend (who also soloed Sam/Bst to 50 >.>) has done Dnc/Bst to 57 so far, he was very happy with the Samba buff, but it won't break him to lose it... though it's gay as hell that they are taking it away.

You can do almost any job as /bst. (I even did a couple early levels of blm and sam this way). But there would be the potential for new camps that would open up with DNC/BST. I don't understand why they'd take this away other than SE hates BST.

Yes, RDM, WHM, and NIN all work decently with a BST sj. I would imagine DNC/BST would work really well, even after they 'fix' it.

I can even solo/skillup quite handily as a lolmelee BRD/BST, although it's best to go /anon to do that, lol. Soloed the Angelstone quest NM that way, in fact. Very fun.

Having been a 75 bst for over 3 years, it being my first 75 job, and being one of the 2 or so galka beastmasters left running around on my server occasionally, I can safely say, being a beastmaster waiting for "a fix" is like this:

It’s like when you stand in the 4 hour line at an amusement park for a new ride, and every time you go around a corner you think, “oh my god, we’re almost there, I bet the front of the line is right around this corner,” only to find more line ahead of you.

So you think to yourself: I still love this goddamn ride, even if I am stuck in this line, I know it’s going to get better. So you finally make it to the front and you’re all psyched- then you get stuck sitting between one person who’s really, really fat, and another person who smells horrible. But you know what? You’re on the ride, and that’s all that matters right?

So you’re enjoying yourself- when you suddenly you go through a super-fast loop and one of your shoes flies off and hits someone behind you. While that’s happening, the fat guy throws up all over you and the smelly guy laughs extremely loudly in your ear.

When you get off at the end, the guy behind you hands you your shoe back and shows you he’s missing a tooth now. He also hands you his business card, and informs you that his practice will be contacting you for damages. Oh yeah, the smelly guy takes out a gun and shoots you in the knees too, or something.

Yeah, being a beastmaster waiting for updates is like that. Fuck you SE, the cake is a goddamn lie.

Just let songs work on pets and get it over with -_-

What saddens me about this "fix" is that:

1. It shows there is no technical road block for them on adding pets as targets for party buffs, so it's clearly being overviewed, systematicaly and explicitly being blocked by them.

2. The all-time BST dream of getting buffs to our pets (which i think most if not all of us agree this is the one thing that will bump BST to a "decent party DD" status) will likely not come any time soon if at all.

So i guess we'll have to do with Pallas shield and regen/half-assed-erase foods and call it a day! Oh yeah, and halved reward timer that still works with foods that stack to 12 and do crap because my pets are still getting killed by EM Yagudos anyway if i fight more than two in a row.

the most annoying part about this is that in a pt situation Bst won't even be using petfood for the most part. We can just frking /heel our pets between pulls, not that thats even needed. When in a merit party, the few and rare times I even bother with Bst in a merit party, My pet rarely if ever takes damage, aside from the few time when I even grab any hate and use snarl for the most part the pet is just a minor DD (even LDL). Also it gets so annoying using fight in a merit party, I wish there was an /auto assist option for our pets.

But w/e SE is so made of fail its not even funny.
