one of my ls mates tried to find a use for koenig body by swapping into it when his HP wasn't full so he could try to cure more HP for more hate.. but discovered it's better off to cure in valor for the 4 enmity anyway. koenig is town gear only

isn't a berserker's torque a popular use for bleeding out HP w/o taking damage so you can cure it? i seem to remember talk about that as well as gear on slots that don't flicker for use in self-cures for hate. not that the torque is exactly easy to find...

afaik people use that for their cure 4 macro at start-ish of fight or something (macro in hp gear u wouldnt normally use to boost max hp, aided by berserkers torque, throw in a fat cure 4 and voila)

i don't know any plds that have it offhand, and in any case whn i used to do khim all the time, our plds would cure each other for the most part and the torque woulda been a mite excessive tbh

there's being good at your job and then there's having a macro for eeeeeeeeverything; i just got too many jobs to be that dedicated to any 1 job

Gigant, RSE belt, BQR usually, berserkers is nice but kinda risky, and some fights if you're low you don't engage because of TP spam.

Gear for your pld, with considerations for keonig.
Head: Keonig/Kaiser head = Keep forever, /war tanking anything hard and nice shield skill macro for Ichi.'
Bahamut mask = fucking awesome, macro in turban or askar for Ni and tell your damned healers to write your name in their macros .

Body: <3 Ares, macro in valor for cover and Hydra Haubert for hate JAs.

Hands: I use Valor+1 for more hp than keonig and near same vit with a nice emnity boost for /war straight tanking, however I find myself using Homam hands 90% of the time for basic shit, /nin, and even /war on stuff that doesnt hit for 400 damage a swing.

Legs: Homam and Valor are decent, Keonig legs are actually not that bad here if /war and tanking harder stuff. Blood legs for kiting.

Feet: If you wear keonig feet quit the game, delete FFXI from your program list, and cut off your own penis to ensure you dont reproduce. AF+1 for /war tanking and ichi shield macro, valor for sentinal, askar for kiting.

I swear to god I die a little inside everytime I see a M.feet pld.

Wal-Mart paladin means most/all your gear comes from the Auction House (read: Is buyable). Now, while Adaman "gear" is buyable, those purple PLDs should not be called PLDs at all.
