    Paypal question

So i have a quick question about Paypal

Is it true people can chargeback?
How long do you have to wait for the money in the account to clear, so the other person cannot charge back, and the money is actually yours.

This would be on a unverified account btw

Don't keep any significant amount of money in a paypal account, ever. Transfer it to your bank right away. Paypal can't legally do anything if someone does a chargeback and your account is "negative"

I only buy through paypal, but the "horror stories" say it take a long time for the appeals to go through, accoutns get frozen until out of the negative and other junk. However, I've seen more good things nad promotion of paypal than I have horror stories, so take it for what you will always some uncertainty with a middle man(they aren't actually a financial institution).

Just to toss my horror story in the mix...

Bought GH3 from an asshole seller. Sent me a damaged box, like, totally fucking trashed. I issued a claim on paypal (this is after I kindly asked him for a refund and he used every swear word in the book and threatened me with a fucking lawsuit if I left him a neg feedback) and after waiting 40 days for a response on the claim I got denied. I was never even allowed to support my claim in the slightest. They had the seller send them pics of the item (which of course was in perfect condition cuz they weren't real pics) and I'm left with a trashed game and 80$ down the toilet.

Paypal resolution sucks asshole-donkeyballs. Don't fucking use it. Ever.

Oh and as for chargebacks? My buddy used to sell his WoW account on paypal then change passwords after he got the money. Whenever someone tried to get their money back from him they were denied, much like in my case. So he had 200$ and his account, which he rinsed and did multiple times. (I know this is fucked up, I don't condone it and would recommend to NEVER buy any accounts online, no matter what the cause). Paypal says they protect the buyer 100% and can not guarantee to protect the seller. They got it backwards, sellers are fucking guaranteed 100% and buyers get a dick shoved up their ass.

    Re: Paypal question

paypal is a horrible site. DO NOT trust anything related to that site whether you are the buyer or the seller cause you can and will get fucked.

people can charge back anything, and do it within a few months after your transaction has completed.

    pay attention to this:

even if you transfer money OUT of your paypal account to your bank account after a transaction is completed, the other person can STILL do a chargeback on your account and your paypal account will go into a negative dollar status. If in the event you can not prove that you are in the right, your paypal account will stay negative and if you don't pay them the amount, they'll report it as a collections issue to the bureau and your credit will get fucked.

do NOT trust them, there is absolutely no saftey involved, period.

Not always the case, I had several cases where I was selling currency for a chat system called VZones and buyers issued chargebacks on me, paypal wouldn't back me at all because there was no way of proving I'd delivered.

Yeah that's a good idea, I've heard far less negative things about Amazon and my own personal experience has been excellent, early delivery and so on.

    Re: Paypal question

Would they send the gift card to your email, and then what would you do with it? can you use that card over the internet? or would you have to take the money out of the bank?

Yeah, no, if you're linked to the account, Paypal can (and will) take funds out if your paypal goes into the negative.

The buyer a max of 60 days through three steps to get a chargeback.

I've moved thousands of dollars through my paypal in the last two years, here are some simple tips.

    • If you buy/sell on ebay, don't trade with people that have negative feedback, period.[/*:m:2xrdzzho]
    • Don't be stupid and sell things to people with bad feedback, they only bring trouble[/*:m:2xrdzzho]
    • Get a paypal business account, and a debit card from them[/*:m:2xrdzzho]

Kind of off topic, but anytime you are curious about a company its a good idea to google "Whatever Company Name Sucks" and see what comes up. I learned this from the professor of one of my capstone marketing courses. Its a great way to find out negative things about the company from actual consumer and not business reviews.

I will add 200 to the cost of the item so thatyou can help me send it to her with an shipping service in your areaand i will be paying you with my paypal account please get back to mewith your paypal email address so i can make payment as soon aspossible. think about this as i hope to hear from you soonest.regards mayen-lus

It's alot easier on your end because if anything goes wrong you will be able to deal with it directly instead of trying to get ahold of me.
