    Dynamis Calendar

So a lot of time has passed since the original dynamiscalendar.com went down. Since then, I have been attempting to acquire a more suitable address for the site. After talking with the admin for dynamiscalendar.com I have been able to take over the domain. I have already changed all of the links to reflect this change. All old links currently work and may eventually just be forwarded to the new address. The direct link to the calendar once again is http://www.dynamiscalendar.com/

    Re: Dynamis Calendar

There was already created antoher Dynamis Calender some weeks ago.

A lot of LSs are using it already.

    Re: Dynamis Calendar

Someone should make a website so people who make Dynamis calenders can reserve time for their dynamis calenders to be used?

But in all seriousness, the 2nd one looks better. The OP's looks more like just a forum, and not really a calender.

I would say that as long as people keep ganking others' zones with the excuse that, "Well our Dynamis Calendar says this and you aren't reserved on our Dynamis Calendar" then yes, we do.

The original DC was something most shells could work from. Now there needs to become a new general consensus with the Dynamis population over which calendar to use, and then people can quit all the "OMFG they stole our zone!" bullshit.

Doesnt matter, JP wont use these sites, and most servers have their own calendars already.

Well, most of the time, JP aren't the problem.

It could just be that Hades fails, which is far from surprising.

    Re: Dynamis Calendar

The point of this is that we could really use a scheduling system to keep some sanity in scheduling dynamis runs. Whichever scheduling system you guys use is fine. As you have said, I do suggest that all the linkshells on your server decide to use a single scheduling system to avoid conflicts. As for the Carbuncle server, we have always used dynamiscalendar.com and since it went down we needed a replacement. We have found that the new system works really well, and this thread was basically just to point out that we the URL is changing for the site, since many have expresses that they were reluctant to change sites when the old dynamiscalendar.com went down.

The problem is you're contributing to the problem by creating yet another calender.

    Re: Dynamis Calendar

So they hijack the zone outside NA and JP prime time.

    Is that even considered hijacking?

    Re: Dynamis Calendar

JP on our server have their own dynamis calender, and they are more than willing to save the drama of fighting over zones if you can post on it. My husband (who luckily speaks Japanese) posts my shell's runs there, and I'm sure if other shells who have confilcts with JP shells should be able to do the same if they just talk! Hell, auto-translate is your friend even if you can't speak Japanese...

Here is what the calender looks like:

    Re: Dynamis Calendar

I can't even remember the last time we had zone ganking problems on Phoenix. Weird to think this is still an issue.

Regardless, it isn't going to work if everyone doesn't use the same place. Creating 15 sites is only adding to the problem~

This made me laugh. Even if there is one consensus calendar, there are still LS's that won't use it and steal zones just because they had to wait for a HNM to pop. Try doing Dynamis for the past 3+ years on Sunday @7est. You get certain LSs that like to say they are the only ones allowed to do Xarc on that day or going in 2 hours late because Aspid didn't pop till last window, its just ridiculous on Hades and most should know who I am talking about. They have become more civilized as of lately but its still the same thing, go in when they want, come out whenever and expect people to understand.

    Re: Dynamis Calendar

Sylph really doesnt have a huge issue with competition over zones. An HNMLs on our server is generous enough to compile a calandar which the NA and EU players all use for their scheduling purposes. Contacting the JP linkshell leaders to find out where conflicts exist is also done in order to ensure minimal zone conflicts. But I think that most servers are going to have to find a method that works for them. It seems that some servers are now using the OP's website and a few servers are also using the second posters website. Both work well though I do personally like the format from the second a bit better.

    Re: Dynamis Calendar

There are people who make efforts to coordinate things on Fenrir and I applaud them but....

There is a new Dynamis LS popping up every week on Fenrir and most expect you to know the URL to their forums which often times doesn't even fit into a single in-game chatline. A couple of them don't have forums and expect you to track them down and ASK them yourself where they're headed, and if you don't concede the zone you end up being tell-spammed by some sort of present-day RuneBearers.

There's like 5 different leaders who will shit bricks whenever you enter anything because you entered 2 hours before they were planning to do their first ever Dynamis run which isn't posted or listed ANYWHERE, and that is apparently blatant stealing. No matter how long your LS has been around.

It makes you wonder if all the people crying at your LS know all the other linkshells that were supposedly planning to enter. We're a relatively new Dynamis LS, but I think some servers' populations aren't capable of the sort of coordination a dynamis calendar would take, and I know it probably wouldn't even slow the ceaseless baaaawwwww-fest that is Thursday and Sunday night on Fenrir.

And at least one would tell you he won't use it because he's on 360.

    Re: Dynamis Calendar

There's not really any zone-ganking happening on Valefor. >.> Occasionally two shells will clash, but the only times I've been there when that's happened, the leaders work something out pretty fast, without massive dirt-throwing or grudges.
