I'm the kind of guy who really doesn't like much of anything that Ben Stiller likes and stopped thinking Jack Black was funny halfway through the first Tenacious D album. My friend and I go to the movies every week, and decided to see this since nothing else looked decent.

Holy hell, best comedy I've seen since Superbad. 1000x better than I thought it was going to be.

I expected this movie to increase my loathing for Jack Black but he was nowhere near as over the top as I expected. The only parts of the movie that really felt flat for me were brief at worst.

And holy shit if Tom Cruise can be that fucking funny why oh god why isn't he doing more comedy? A lot of it was the makeup they put on him but my goodness did he cap the movie off perfectly at the end.

Definitely not a movie I would watch again in the theatre but I wouldn't hesitate to turn it on if it was like on HBO or something.

Definitely some good parts but I wasn't particularly blown away either.

Booty Sweat had me cracking up uncontrollably. RDJ made it hilarious but the Tom Cruise surprise at the end made me appreciate the movie much more. 4/5 I'd say!

I didn't even realize Tom Cruise was in the movie until near the ending. Overall I think it was entertaining, RDJ was awesome and made the movie for me.

Wow, this is probably going down as one of my favorite comedies of all time. Tom Cruise and RDJ are badasses, but it might be hard for me to take them seriously future movies. Even Jack Black shined in his parts, which I expected to be over the top but ended up being perfect. Him screaming "MY ASS!" as the camera panned over to him after that Saving Private Ryan explosion near the end was absolutely hilarious. What I was really impressed with, though, was how well the action scenes were done (pretty much the whole "I farm lead muthafucka!" sequence). Totally not what I was expecting from this movie, but definitely a nice surprise.

Just got back from seeing this, and I have to say, this movie was amazing, easily the funniest movie I have seen in a very long time. For a comedy, the action was also really well done. I would definitely see this movie again, and recommend it to anyone wanting an awesome comedy/action movie.
