question about addendum

Do the addendums actually add the spells to your spell list, or are you required to have learned them already?
I've been assuming that you needed to know them already until I realized that addendum: black will basically be useless to me until I level blm into the 70s.

You need to use the scroll once you hit the appropriate level of SCH to learn the spell (if you haven't from a previous job already). To actually cast it you need to have Light/Dark Arts up and then use a Strategem charge with Addendum: White/Black.

Ahhhh okay thanks, that makes everything crystal. I wasn't sure if SCH of the appropriate lvl could actually read the scroll seeing as they wouldn't be able to actually use the spell without using the ability. SCH just gets better and better.
