FFXI Monitor Kaput

Okay, so here's the story. During our last major maintenance (the one with the big update), I decided to throw another stick of RAM into my board. I have an Asus board A8N-somethingsomething Deluxe. It should've been a simple case of putting in the new 512 stick of DDR, but it wasn't. It didn't want to boot. I tried moving it's slot, but also to no avail, so I took it out. Well, when I got back into Windows, I decided to force update using Check Files, and everything seemed fine. When servers came back up, I launched, and got about 3 seconds into the title screen, when suddenly my monitor went dark.

It didn't seem to reboot, but I assumed it was a windower problem. So I rebooted, and tried starting FFXI without windower. Same deal as before.

Well, I had Smash to occupy my time, but I've been yearning to level my BLU more, so last night I decided to run a sweep on my PC, clearing out Reg problems & such. This time, I was actually able to get my character on, run around for about 5 minutes, seek in my MH for a bit, and then, the moment I left my MH, BAM, monitor went black. It was as if it was losing it's connection to the PC.

I've tried flashing my BIOS, updating my graphics card drivers, you name it. I have a GeForce 7800 GTX (I think that's right), and 1G of RAM, and a dual core 64 bit processor. Although, I'm not running 64 bit anything, as far as I know.

Anyway, I'm kind of lost on where I should look for help. Has anyone else had this sort of problem? Halp please! Thanks <3

In light of things, I decided to just do a format & reinstall. I haven't had time to install FFXI yet, but hopefully it'll work.
