Yeah, it's not like he's pretending to be google or make any cash from it. There aren't even any ads, it's unlikely google would give a shit, if anything he's reinforcing the fact that google is the best way to find something.

Google might or might not care but this is a clear case of infringement. I'm not going to argue the fine points of it just letting you know, but then I'm no lawyer and Shuemue will point this out. So take solace in Shuemue's observation or listen to some one else w/e. I won't be checking this thread again so please don't bother posting in reply to this.

it's a good idea but I think it needs some work. IE: not just using their search function. You should have it like google were it will take you to a list of items from all the websites, and maybe a "HOLYSHITCLAIM!11" button will be the equivalent to the "Feeling lucky" on google.

Also, hate the banner. beyond those listed, good job and hope to see more out of the site :]

This would be amazing if it displayed results from all the pages, maybe parsed out relevant info and gave links to each of the sub-pages if you needed more...

Make it your one-stop shot to get any info instead of just linking directly to the other site?

Seems more like this would be a case of "A moron in a hurry", and even then it would be pushing it. The name isn't confusingly similar, even if the concept is similar. I doubt Google would persue such a case, even with a letter.

It's semi-useful, but no more then adding said site's search functions to your built in Firefox search bar, which I did a while back.

To make it incredibly usefull it would rip off information from those sites and just display it all in one place, but I doubt they would appreciate that. A good compromise might be linking related pages instead of forewarding directly as above poster said, then possibly add in a preview window similar to firefox plugins that let you preview a site when you mouseover a link. Maybe a rate-up/dwn for links or some way to sort by relevancy, idk.

Support for somepage and mystery tour might be nice. Hell, I'd even put a comedy 'Last Resort' button on there and let that do a ZAM! search.

As much as we dislike one or more of those sites, they're used an awful lot, and excluding them will make it less likely that yours is the first page people pop open.
