I'm so glad they improved the AI :3
only thing I hate about the new AI is I can't for the life of me win a sudden death. They always manage to block my attack, not get knocked off, or just plain shoot me from a distance and kill me.![]()
Are we talking about the same time? Finding a loophole in the AI and exploiting isn't that hard. Beating it like you would fight a normal human is a lot harderOriginally Posted by AkashiXI
The problem with Pikachu is you can't really get close to him because of Thunder. On top of that, Pikachu is still a good character with powerful smashes(most with good range) and annoying projectile spam. It really becomes annoying when he edgeguards with Thunder. With floaty characters it's the worse(you can't even out airdodge it). I'm sure this is no problem with Ike because he gets to ignore knockback with his recovery.
Well, Ike recovers pretty much underneath the ledge so a well placed Aether means you don't have to worry about getting hit. Though it is pretty annoying for another characters, mostly I just try to airdodge through it.
Another AI that annoys me is Olimar, that little asshole can rake up 100% damage in no time if you're not careful. Not only that but his Pikmin make it harder to attack him directly sometimes. I think he's my new Luigi.
Toon Link unlocking him in the fight was freaking difficult. I had to use items to win against him. Not sure if he is the same difficulty AI there when trying to unlock him as the level 9 verison.
I think the AI is just set to Normal when you unlock characters to stop people from cheesing it on Very Easy.
Yeah, we're talking about the same thing. It's not hard to read their moves, it's like Nintendo observed how players feel each other's reactions in a tournament and incorporated that into the A.I. 1 PC vs. 3 NPCs in FFA is kinda lame, because they still team up like they did in Melee and try to finish you off first, but honestly, they're not that hard. It's great Nintendo upped the difficulty on them because with the addition of online play, the overall skill of players is going to exceed that of Melee.Originally Posted by Kaylia
