    Orcish Transporter

Excuse me if this was mentioned earlier, but when I did a search, I didn't find anything. But has anyone seen, fought or killed an Orcish Transporter? I've killed one, and engaged several others. From the name I'd assume it's a Orc mob that increases or keeps the supply levels in whatever zone they are in.

Any idea what these actually are? They run hella fast and are accompanied by several(I've seen 2-6) Orc Guards. They stop at set points, or when faced by a PC.

OK, just killed another. It dropped the zone's Resources by 1. And from that, I take it I'm the only one to make such a kill. B/c Vunkerl's resources are 148/150.

    Re: Orcish Transporter

What you're actually doing is the Campaign Op "Search And Seizure" without signing up for it first

Sign up for the campaign op, kill an Orcish/Yagudo/Quadav Transporter (whichever one corresponds to your nation) in a beastmen-controlled area, and click on the ??? that spawns where it died.

OK, just killed another. It dropped the zone's Resources by 1
    Very interesting information

Guard just keep running when you nuke the transporter. Best way I found is to ES bind it and burst II. You can kill it in one nuke. (i assume grav work too, but I'm never on /rdm in the past).

All 3 of them hit weak, but dont link, and often start running if you don't deal dmg to them

    Re: Orcish Transporter

I can easily solo them as SCH/RDM. Just bind the transporter, and nuke away. I've never needed ES to land bind. But sometimes it breaks free b4 I can finish it off. Which then turns into a mad dash to it's next stopping point, for another bind and a couple nukes.

Oh, and just killing them doesn't drop the supplies for that area, only turning in Search & Seizure. I must have checked just as someone turned it in, b/c subsequent kills didn't reduce it. Only when I flagged the quest, killed, then turned it in. Sorry about the confusion.

    Re: Orcish Transporter

From what I saw doing some campaign the other night, the Transporters resupply the fortification.

Spent a good portion of the evening doing Campaign in Rolanberry, we would usually get the fortification down a decent amount. I started to take notice of the Quadav Transporter and the Guards running through at random intervals after the end of Campaign. It seemed if they made it to the fortification, it would resupply it. I watched it go from 118/150 to 136/150.. From that point, I started to kill them when I saw them (or at least attempt to when I saw them come running). When we managed to stop one from making it to the Fort, the resources would stay at the level they were at after the Campaign battle ended.

They are also a pain in the ass to get to stay put. Without some form of bind or something, it takes a couple of JAs to get them to actually pay attention to you. Tried Chi-blast and some random Ninjitsu, and still he kept running like I never did a thing. They are fairly weak though.

If you chase them, they will periodically stop. I use regurgitation when it stops, and have ample time to kill before it unbinds.

    Sorry cant help myself

Translation : So I throw up on it, then while it stands there confused I beat it up and take its lunch money.

They do 'agro' but usually they are more interested in running away. First time I saw one was while doing Hawk Eye and saw it run up and heard the 'agro sound' but it took off running. Thankfully it didnt actually attack and fail my Ops

The guards do in fact link if you get careless. I killed several transporters solo while trying to figure out what was up with them, and the last time the guards linked and killed me. Thank god for pixies and Raise III.

well they seem to be rather low level so they are fodder for bst pets. i set a tiger i charmed in jugner on the transporter, did 200ish a hit. so if you have that option, pretty easy.

    Re: Orcish Transporter

Man, scared the freaking hell out of me first time I saw one.

Running up from flagging the Lycopodium light in past GC, turn a corner and three yags run up like I just insulted their mama (I probably did, all yags are whores) and whip out their weapons.

I bust out my axe, not gonna go down without a fight... then they run off.

Very funny little interaction to a third party.

<Yagudo> Hey hey! A taru! Hey taru, check out our great katanas!
<Tarutaru> Hey, fuck you buddy, check out my great axe!
<Yagudo> You win this round, midget.

    Re: Orcish Transporter

another thing, i snuck around behind the orc transporter in vunkerl so it wouldnt "aggro" me. pet hit it once and it died. seems if you attack w/o them seeing you its easy win >_>

Edit: just did it again in jugner.
