few minutes toying with saturation/levels in photoshop and the easiest thing to do was just invert the colors. Stands out really strongly after only a few tweaks.

Fighter pilots need superhuman visual acuity. It's pretty fucking hard to pass the requirements.

yup, navy wanted me to fly until i failed that test, it was one of the last things they did. lost me a 10 grand signing bonus. subsequently they fucked up my paperwork when shipping, so i got out of it altogether.

i still don't think i'm really color-blind, but i certainly can't see numbers in all those >.<

There are 9 stages of color blindness.

Around 95% of all men are stage one color blind(a form a red/green color blindness), but most women don't have this problem. I personally can't see that last number. I can see hints of it being there, just not enough of them to form the full number.

A practical example of the situation is how men can look at clothes or lipstick and to them its just a bunch of red dresses or red lipsticks, but a woman will see all sorts of subtle variations in them that most men are just unable to see.

they have some kind of restrictions on broken bones and or deep cuts that required stitches?

this was years ago, i was physically cleared for duty - but the only serious injuries i'd ever had at that point were a broken collarbone at 15 and a few stitches on my forehead at 8. there's a lot of restrictions though, and the more important the classification they want you in the mroe restrictive they get. hence them pulling a wanna-be fighter pilot with lightning reflexes and a 99 ASVAB for not recognizing a number in a bunch of dots.

big decision though, i can't stress that enough. kinda glad i didn't do it.
