Ty for the answer, i think i will end up building mostly magic dmg-, but also have specific sets depending on the mob for certain elements.

One of the above links to a different thread mentioned about +140 resist w/o carol/bar is very useful when bar/carol is added on in reducing damage taken, example being Tiamat, 140 or so fire resist, slap on carol/barfire, and Phalanx, and i shouldnt be taking much dmg from the fire based attacks.. i think.
