Sheep in Antlion Clothing

So I have been trying to duo this with my wife for a bit (rdm and mnk) and we keep timing out because it just takes fucking forever to re-find the NM when it buries itself. Does it have some "most likely spots" or follow a pattern I am not seeing? We get it down to like 10% and time out because we spend half the BC wandering around trying to repop it.

Very frustrating.

There are only like 5 or 6 pop spots, once you learn them and can run quickly between them it should get a lot easier.

Above post is correct, it has 6 different spots it can possibly hide in the area excluding the position it starts in. (It doesn't ever go back to that spot that I have seen).

If it's anything like the antlions in the chasm, once they're aggro'd and lose aggro(via you getting killed or whatever), you can //fillmode 1 and see them underground with windower.

Dunno if it works here after it goes back under, I haven't done Sheep in a long long time to try it, something to test though maybe.

It does work. Still have to run around a little bit because the area is larger than the 50' mob display distance but it's a a handy tool.

I didn't see the antlions underground with fillmode 1, but honestly, I just tried it a few sec, nothing serious, I could have been 50'+ away from any antlion.

Assuming you can see them underground using fillmode, can you see their name too ? Or do you have to separate NM Vs adds just from their size underground ?

When you do this one with 2 people, I'm guessing the lesser Ants can't pop.

They do. If you know where to look for the ants, you can usually kill 1 add and keep the other 2 slept and still have time to kill the main NM. I used to duo this a while back but now have been trioing it MNK RDM BLM with Ichthyos and Blackhatchy since it's a sure win with this setup.

I can't find a blank map of Boneyard Gully, but if someone can post one I can mark it.

Ambush wipes her blink and knocks off her shadows, leaving a taru with about 700 hp and just phalanx on tanking while I run all the way across the BC Q.Q.

I'm 0/45+ on holy cow for any money whatsoever, and it's basically the comparable ENM to the sheep one in terms of zones.

Don't get your hopes up.

My static got very nice money drops when we first did it (2 Haguns, 3 Foragers) but for the last four months we have been getting nothing but constant Viridian Urushis and Satins. =(

2 friends and I have been doing it twice a week on our mains and our alts. The very first week we did it we got hagun and mantle/evoker. The next week we got another mantle. After that it's been all galateias.

We always hit the spawns around the pillar first, this way if a mage gets the main NM and the melee is really far away, he can kite it around the pillar.

I've been having the same problem finding the spawn points with my trio group. This map will be very helpful, thanks for posting it! Have one question about it though. Does this depict spawn points for the NM only or for all of the antlions? It was said earlier that there were 6 spawn points but this map show more than that.

Some of those spots might never pop the nm, but those are where I remember being ambushed. Either the person that posted there being 6 spots hasn't gotten some of the ones I've seen, or was talking about places only the nm can pop, dunno.

As for money, my group has done decently, about every third time we get a money item. The first 2 times I went actually resulted in evokers.

Ive been reading up on how to duo this enm and i am having a lot of trouble with it, I tried today with a nin and rdm duo and it seems like we just dont do enough dmg in time before we run out. Also i tried using APradar to pinpoint the location of the antlions but all the names just jumble on top of each other , its impossible to tell which is which. can anyone show me a video of a successful duo of this enm? also any idea how to fix this apradar problem?

People should really stop using the map pack in the ApRadar thread.
