Still, just to disregard a game before it has even comes out, because of a concept (one thats been done before and well in other games) is way too pessimistic.

Anyways, screens look pretty polished. I'm not saying that I am hyped, but I will keep an eye on it, and read the reviews to see if the gameplay comes out well.

Zelda has a better pedigree than both Sonic or Mario. The last good, addicting Sonic game that I still play sometimes is Sonic 2. Really. It's been that long since a Sonic game had me wowing from start > finish. None of the 3d sonic games held me for very long. At least I liked Mario's adventures past the SNES once in a while. The DS game was brilliant.

There is a chance the new Sonic game won't suck but if history is any kind of teacher I'd rather be pessimistic and find myself pleasantly surprised than the other way around.

I dunno. Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 for the Dreamcast were quite enjoyable to me, but the shit afterwards was god awful. =[

Yeah, I thought the screens looked pretty sharp. I'll wait until I see a gameplay video before I cast any stones. Maybe Knuckles will turn into a black bouncer.
