Titan has had the hardest time dealing with Spike Flail forever. This goes all the way back to JollyRogers wiping at 1%, flailing, then killing with SMNs.

Personally I hate wing the most, it's annoying and I don't like how much MP Viruna costs.

Hi Stel! I've gone NIN every time I've been to Tia (cept once I got to go SAM), actually. That's usually when it pops at bad time for us and we're low on numbers though. Anyways, he's actually referring to me, but putting a shitload of words in my mouth. I have the conversation saved because I thought how humorous it was. I'm amazed at how this guy was able to flip this over and make me look like I'm clueless.

The conversation actually started when Thagoods here stated I didn't know who I was talking to when I told him to stop sucking on BRD. He proclaimed that I was a bad PLD because I was exping (at lv73) in Haub. Then stated that he has tanked everything in the game on PLD so I should listen to him, or some crap like that. I asked him "Okay then, what's the hardest part about tanking Tiamat then?" His response was when Tiamat was in the air and Touchdown. If touchdown makes Tiamat hard for you, you're retarded. When he lands he gives you plenty of time to cast shadows. And anyone without a fire build nowadays is just stupid.

He then asked me what I thought and I said "nothing, Tiamat is a joke to tank; only concern is terror when solo tanking" and that's where this topic came from I guess.

On topic: Roar and Terror are definitely the hardest parts of Tiamat. Terror is still a joke because you just have your BLMs stun (if you're solo tanking) until it wears or, as said, you have a good co-tank. On roar as NIN it's easy to just SE/LR and get hate back.

So now this started because I was sucking on brd? Well considering you the war was getting most of the hate I felt you should be adding a hell of alot more enmity gear. You really didn't space out your JA's, you used rampart and sentinel back to back one time....and well yea. I am not turning this into a flame thread just get it right man. Tell the story as it was, what's amazing is everyone who was with you in Yojimbos who isn't in your current shell doesn't seem to think of you as a good ninja. Although they did say you were "alright on SAM" which I thought amazing. When you told me "Do you know who your talking too" I thought at that point you were some uber tank lol even though it didn't translate on paladin lol. You simply hung yourself and I kicked away your chair. You then went to BG to ask about me and only got the response of 2people whom I met a long ass time ago lol for 2 days and someone who saw me apparently kill exp mobs or something. Sadly though I have tanked a hell of alot more than you have considering your biggest accomplishment is tiamat so when talking about paladin or nin I could hold a conversation with you. That's the problem apparently from people on your own server your the most egotistical half ass player on the server. Personally a more modest approach out of you would've been a hell of alot better because I really was fine until you started running your trap. Since you like to cut people down it's like this man, I may not have been the brd of your choice. You however have ways to go to be able to be a capable paladin, if your getting hit while subbing war more than 130+ a normal attack......and seem to like the idea of spiking hate even though it's going to go away over time lol. Good luck with that one. Like I told you lolterrorize it's been a clear verdict. The people have spoken.. so much for that eh? When your terrorized though you just sit there so at that point just get up and go lol. When you come back put up shadows and do your thing lol. Although I agree but seriously what about the bed wetters? I mean what if they can't hold it ><

Terror should not be your biggest concern in a Tiamat fight, whether a NIN, RDM, or PLD. All three jobs have access to enough defense/reduction gear combined with Tacos, and enough HP, to survive on their own for quite a bit with no shadows.

To stay on the topic job, this should especially be the case for NIN. A dedicated and somewhat well-equipped NIN tank should be able to take the lowest amount of unblocked damage. Darksteel+1/Denali and Arhat+1 are getting cheaper and cheaper for the most part, and with that you can get -49% damage taken (without Defending Ring) and still a good ~400-500 defense. All together Tiamat shouldn't be hitting very hard at all.

Only thing that I tend to worry about in a Tiamat fight is Roar. It doesn't really cause problems most of the time, and the way we've fought it the last few times (which also was a while ago) it didn't do many TP attacks on the ground anyway, but it's just damn annoying when it happens.

You know Rukenshin my biggest problem here is just that sometimes we forget what's really important. Tanks are known to have the biggest ego in the game and sadly sometimes we get way ahead of ourselves. It's not about who's dick is bigger but realistically speaking Terror should not be an issue because of YOUR SUPPORT. Minnich you just cannot be proved wrong, you tell your friends to defend you but everyone outside of valefor disagrees with you. Now Rukenshin just disagreed with you but i'm sure your going to say he's an idiot or not as good as you even though he's easily one of the better nin's out there. I quite honestly am stepping away from this Minnich because the people have spoken you laughed at me when I said terrorize is not a big deal because your support should be able to take care of it for you. I was right you were wrong bottom line. All that extra garbage you spoke about yourself was not needed because in the end you proved that by not agreeing with you everyone else is jus inferior. I was offended and upset by your trash talk so yes I fought back. When I told by hoodrider that I got bg'd by you I laughed. I did not think you would go there, so I in good fairness did NOT mention your name. I stated the arguement and asked If I was wrong. Just to clarify. I never once said Terror was something difficult to deal with. In fact, I said Tiamat in general is a very simple thing to tank. I'll definitely agree that Roar is one of the harder parts of Tiamat. At the same time it's just as easy to deal with as any other of his moves.

P.S. Agreeing with you would be him saying something like "YEA MAN FUCKING TOUCHDOWN GETS ME EVERY TIME, I HATE THAT SHIT!"

P.S.S. Yes staying awake at Tia is definitely the hardest part.
