I'm no DRK, but speaking as WAR, if they made a crit+ G Axe with slightly higher base dmg instead of 9 less than Perdu, I'd say you were crazy not to use it. In other words, I'm pretty sure I'd use Tred if I was DRK.

The difference is that Tredecim doesn't work with weaponskills, so it's not quite as good. ;(

But yeah, in terms of Perdu . .

Moliones's, Perdu, and Tredecim are all pretty close. I prefer Tredecim because you can get a 6-hit build with it (without counting WS TP). Also, recently I have acquired my Moliones's set, and I have to say that I really enjoy it. 2 base damage, and +7 STR while maintaining the accuracy that you would otherwise lose by switching to a STR ring makes for much better Guillotines. Also, you get the Souleater bonus without losing 4/5% Haste from an Ace's Helm or Tredecim Scythe.

My personal opinion:

Moliones's set > Tredecim > Perdu.

But it's arguable. If your question is, "Should I spend the Imperial Standing on Perdu?" then my answer would be, absolutely not. If you already have it and like it better, then fine, but if there is ANY difference between Moliones's/Tredecim/Perdu, it's not enough to warrant spending the points on it.

I use Perdu Scythe in Salvage any time I get weapon unlocked before magic...on BLM.

don't knock it! i bring my joyeuse with me when i come on brd (and even rdm sometimes) to things like bha(tab) remnants and since the whm and the rdm get magic cells first, i'm relegated to "find mad bomber if he's up and wait till we do wamoura." so if bombs are generous with weapon cell drops, i can bust out my joytoy and do anywhere from 40ish to 50ish a swing (and joytoy procs like a mother on them. ^^) which, while it isn't huge, over a couple fights can save 30 or 40 seconds with a little luck. it's not something to bust your balls over, but it is handy and entertaining.
