Smash Service Thread

[BRP]

Thread to discuss downloaded replays, pictures, and custom stages.

You can access this by turning it on in Options after signing into Wifi.

Replays at the moment seem to be show fast clears of smash the targets or homerun for each character.

Mini rule: Be sure to include the date if previous posts above yours isn't relevant to yours. You don't have to give a full report on what was updated, just make sure people know which day you speak of.

Picture: Ike on a box, oh lawd.
Replay: IKe homerun(was able to get just over 2700 ft)

Stage: As you might imagine, hard to explain... it's very slanty with multiple rows of only tilting or straight drop-though/ledgeless platforms. There is a set of spikes on the upper left. Personally, I think it's one of the better custom stages. It's very easy to get a kill on the sides though, especially left because you are pretty close if standing on the ledge. Song is "With Millia*'s Divine Protection", FE track.

EDIT: Oh damn LOL, this stage is fun with kirby's stone.

Replay is of Mario doing Smash the Targets lvl4

The stage of day is fucking awesome, go play it. "Ice Fortress" so it's NA made. Uses Taboo's song. It's hard to explain, but it's designed really well. You can drop though the bottom on the sides. I didn't notice until halfway through the match.

Since this is a topic about the custom stages downloaded via wifi, I'll put this here: is anyone besides me extremely unhappy with the custom stages? Personally, I feel there's no real thought in most of them. They usually consist of one or two platforms, slanted, with a huge drop OR ladder. It seems like most are cookie-cutting the previous one. Maybe it's been a bad week for me, hopefully there'll be some NA (lol@alljpcreatedstages) and my views will change.

Today's Ike+Yoshi HRC was funny. 6000+ feet and he hit it using Ike's B.

Ice Fortress was NA and was pretty good. Though I don't know what you mean. Stages that are unplayable with too many spikes/falling platformers is not something I want.

has there been a smash service replay of an actual fight so far? i usually dont check them but i submitted a hilarious short 3 stock fight where all 3 of my toon links downsmashes got the computer DIing the wrong way and dying at sub 30 percentages.

Whoa, the stage of today(March 27) is pretty awesome. It's based on the gangplank galleon from DKC. Plays nicely too. Very big though.

EDIT: Stage of the day sucks though. Called Bowser's Castle(meaning it's english) and is too focused on falling blocks...

I just looked at it in training mode. It seems like some characters would have trouble getting back to the top area where you spawn. So, as you said, it would be too focused on the falling blocks area.

Today(April 7) there's a Smash level 4 which features a Pikachu and Ice Climbers beating it in 6 seconds. Pretty sweet.
