Wave-dashing, in MY brawl?

is there some trick to it? i keep trying to just run then up charge and i couldnt seem to get the timing down any hints?

My method (with snake anyways, haven't tried it with anyone else yet):

I have tap jump turned off btw; Dash, hit A to initiate dash attack, and then right away slide the control stick up and press A again (literally, you have to double tap A as fast as you can). Its sort of doing a hadouken movement going from left/right to up.

During the dash Z functions the same as A so you can free up your movements by having your trigger finger, if you hold the controller that way, to do the up smash out of the dash.

If you're talking about the "Snake Slide" I personally use the C-stick to do it because I find it faster. As soon as you hit the "A" button during the dash attack, just C-stick up. If you decide you wish to charge it, C-stick up and hold Z at the same time.

The only real use I've seen for this is Snake, Zero Suit Samus, and Zelda. Zelda is really scary at how good it is. :-/ I swear her Up Smash has to be the best in the game... Snake's, Marth's, and Fox's are all similarly good but not as good.

Zelda got buffed far too much in this game... she seems to have far too many advantages, especially in one vs. one combat,... she's this game's new Peach. For sure.

I can do it pretty easily with Snake, Falco and Bowser(Even though it doesn't do anything for him) using wiimote/nunchuck. Haven't been able to pull it off with any other characters.

Fucking zelda. My little brother used her in melee, and now he's just the biggest whore with zelda in brawl. Hi, i shield. Then i upsmash out of my shield. It sucks you in if you try to do anything. Anything. Then i chase you with another upsmash if you're anywhere above me, or forward smash you if you anywhere to the side of me. Or~ if you managed to run away from me, i throw napalm like whoa, and it flies faster than you could ever dream of running. Oh, and invisible blast range. All without taking a step. Teeheeheehee.

I play a guy who uses Peach and Zelda from time to time that has won a lot of tournaments in melee... his Zelda is too strong in Brawl and makes me cry. I know exactly how you feel cause the same thing happens to me only he dash attacks me instead of Forward Smashes me. Did I mention the dash attack links into up-smash? No? Well it does. :/

Isnt that the guy with the "I'm the most brilliant zelda you've ever seen" topic with a single video where he plays sheik for 90% of it anyway? He posts very technically sound advice but what good is being full of one's self (and not referring to the name of the topic, it was rather obviously tongue in cheek, at least sto some miniscule degree so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt) and bitchy 90 of the time anyway?
