Didnt read it either, geez.. if im thinking what im thinking.. there could be like a total of 10 of these.. individual shorter vs matches, and then two longer ones where everyone is fighting again, or something >.>

Sounds like hes milking it either way, but hell if I care, as long as theyre as good/better as these two.

Again, if you read it the 1v1 fights were orignally his intention but he opted for more of a brawl for the 2 and held off on doing 1v1 for a while longer. Pretty sure he mentioned having storyboarded/planned it out roughly like this from the beginning. I hardly think you can call it milking if doing it this way was his intention from the start.

I find these really exhausting to watch, and I wonder "man...if this guy would put his efforts into...some sort of story in addition to just action for action's sake...why would he make another one just like the first...he should progress into more sophisticated animation endeavors since he clearly has talent" and then I read the replies accumulated this far and realize I'm the only one.

You know why they disagree? Cause it would be lame. When people want to see off-the-wall action they want to see action, not people talking inbetween fighting, just fighting.

Holy fucking shit. Tifa was just amazing in this. I loved the way she used all the different magic and the effects from it. Gravity then to Fire was so fucking win, and Haste was awesome.

Rinoa and Kairi's entrances were awesome as well, along with Rachel's. Man, this guy has some major talent. Loved the touch of Rinoa using Squall's gunblade. I can imagine that conversation.

The guy is an animator (and a damn good one at that). Consider this like an editor doing an elaborate montage with little ideological/intellectual content- just more concerned with form over content. In his description of the video, he mentioned how he's gonna be starting a job in the game industry, so good for him. Really impressive for a year's work; personally it can take me several hours to key 1-2 second bits on one character sometimes. I'm really curious about his planning and methods, and also wanna know how much/what exactly he did in post- that scene inside the tornado is headspinning to think about doing in one shot.

Yes. She'd say "en underscore en" leaving Squall to wonder what the fuck she was talking about. Yeah. Totally.

Anyway, I did love the animation. It's insane at the different fighting styles/scenes he went through. The Tornado one did have me confused. I'd have never thought about that sort of scene.

I found the second matrix's action sequences to be particularly droll even though they were "spectatular", mainly because there wasn't much at stake. Action for action's sake is lame to me.
