What will be the literary style of the game? Memes and jokes, serious roleplay with a focus on the epic, lighthearted roleplay with subtle humor, something else?

What will the missions feel like? Whimsical forays, epic adventures, dramatic arcs full of political intrigue and betrayal, etc.?

no quests scripted yet, thats open for debate where it goes from there but its meant to be separate from BG but of course you can expect some "old tired jokes" to be thrown in as I expect the large majority of people to be from this forum. But I don't want to just make it about forum memes and shit.

as I said, still trying to get GUI fixed before I even start on mapping as it would be a bitch to do it any other way, so this is what I have so far, and lots of it.

I might be interested in working on this. Only problem is I can't really commit to anything in the next 3 or 4 weeks (I have a short animation to finish up for a senior show). I can handle a variety of art related stuff and would be willing to help on scenario.

I'm sure I can get a hang of spriting.

Not true, I have everything except for a main game GUI(I have one but hate it.), classes (How ever it is coded for easy editing.) Spells maps and items. I know its hard to understand how much background coding and prep goes into creating a game, you truly have no idea.
This is about 97% complete til a beta release, to give you prospective the last 2.9 percent being mapping rest between classes spells and items.

I can code pretty proficiently, what language are you using to edit the engine like you mentioned? I can read up and probably help out if you're having any sort of trouble.

On the contrary, make it so whenever you die, you go back to level 1! And make sure there's PvP.

Or, allow delevelling and loss of xp, but with a mechanism for a limited refund.

e.g.

FFXI-like no body recovery:
Say you die and lose 2000 xp. You can go to some wishing well or fountain in the middle of town and toss in a coin to get it back. However, it can only store up to 5000 xp, so if you're out in the wild and die so much that you lose 10000 xp, then go to town and visit the fountain, you still only get 5000 xp back. This discourages zombie tactics, and during xp parties it'd probably still be better to just eat the loss and keep xping rather than make a trip back to town whenever you die. It just softens the blows of random deaths while out exploring or doing quests.

WoW-like body recovery:
Similar deal, but you get it back when you get your body back... which really serves no purpose but to discourage leaving your body and spawning a new one, like WoW's item decay penalty.

Or, if you want to be an ass:
Allow lost xp to be refunded if they send you a signed, written letter explaining how they died, what they learned from it, and what they'll do to keep it from happening again.

And it's moderately difficult to kill and only stays spawned for a certain amount of time.

Bad news, was going to alpha test on my other computer and went to compile and suddenly im getting this error. It stops around 20% and goes not responding, then I have to CRTL Delete the compiler and this pops up

Please help me fix this before my head explodes.
