I'd have to get rid of it first though right? Is there an easier way of getting rid of a persona? Fusing them with others is pretty annoying.

Just press square on the persona screen in the main menu, that's the option to dismiss a persona.

Does the social link have to be at level 10 to be able to get the heart container?

Nevermind I got it, but I made it with the lowest personas you can make Fortuna with so I'm stuck having to level it 2-3 levels before getting the item.

Ended up beating it on level 79 with the other chars at level 75-76 (used Mitsuru/Stupei/Koro).

Still one of the hardest bosses I ever had to beat in terms of storyline, and I've played a lot of RPGs.

Grats foo. My apologies for questioning earlier. I assumed you were meaning the original P3. Nyx I felt was cake there. I wasn't aware they changed the difficulty of the original game in FES too. I just hopped right into The Answer since I played the normal P3.

Honestly if that extra dungeon opened up like in the original I probably wouldn't have had this much trouble. But I didn't level up the right social links to make Armageddon in time, and killing The Reaper even at level 80 wasn't a walk in the park so I just gave up on that and tried facing Nyx the old fashioned way. It was way easier than before though, those 7-8~ levels helped a lot.

I just started The Answer (and never played the original, so I wouldn't know what was easier/harder, but I did know that this extra block supposedly opened up after reaching the top, and in FES you have to kill the Reaper and get Elizabeth the button before the door shows up) and man it's hard. >.> I did beat my first boss fight in the dungeon though, once I took down the gigas it got easier but shit, I can already see that this isn't going to be easy.

I think the way you played the game was the best way, honestly. Not worrying about which social links to level to get the powerful Personas and just going with whatever you like seems to be more enjoyable. And yeah, I found The Answer proved to be quite challenging lol.

Yeah it was definitely challenging, which is why I liked it heh. I'll probably replay Journey after beating Answer and get evvvvvverything in the game. I still clocked 71 hours, without even going for all the social links except for maybe 2-3 of them (I got the classmate, track team, and yukari social links completed, besides the obvious ones from the storyline) and with skipping a very large portion of Elizabeth's quests...

    Re: Hardest Storyline Battles.

Shit, I clocked nearly 90 hours on my first play of The Journey. The Answer is certainly harder, mainly because of no social links. At least I don't have to hear Aigis scream "I NEED YOUR HELP!", but I still have to live with Ken shouting "HELP ME!". Oh well, at least Metis is pretty cool, though I get a weird vibe from her because she uses and axe/hammer and has no resistances/weaknesses...

Reaper is easy, just abuse Odin and Thunder Reign lol

And trying to max everything is silly on your first playthrough, because even if you wanted, there is one elizabeth request you can ONLY get on new game+'s (I tried to max my first playthrough, I was off maxing all slinks by ONE FUCKING DAY spoilers:fuck you chidori for coming back to life and taking up the one day I needed, FUCK YOU but when I figured I was gonna miss a request anyway meh)

    Re: Hardest Storyline Battles.

first playthrough you just do whatever you want, but after I beat the answer I'm gonna go back and try to max all the slinks so I can see all the events after beating nyx (the one with ms. toriumi(sp) was hilarious).

though following a guide to max slinks seems tedious, but at least I won't have to raise my stats and shit, and leveling my party will be easy since I know what I'm doing lol.

Yeah it'll be easy, even if it's on Hard (especially after going through The Answer first lol...)

I tried doing the Thunder Reign thing on Reaper, but messed up. I did figure out how to do it (just set everyone on knock down so when it's down during it's turn and you cancel the 2nd all out attack the Reaper loses it's turn and your characters just wait around instead of attacking like a bunch of retards..) but oh well, it was definitely more fun beating Nyx at that level instead of beating her in 5 minutes using a bunch of level 99's that hit her for 1000.

The Answer is glorious, feels more like a megaten game than then The Journey did, though I do like more story-driven RPGs. Currently at the 3rd door 2nd boss, getting my ass kicked by Heat Wave. I could win if I went back and made the right Persona, but it'll take me ages to get back. Suppose I have no choice if I can't win.

I started the 2nd "block" of that first door now, 9th floor that is. The enemies here are just fucking HARD lol... I do like the difficulty though, makes it interesting. In Journey I just did an aoe spell and they would all get hit >> all out attack >> done... here, they dodge the spell half the time, so it could go very bad really really fast.

Yeah, you're lucky to find an enemy with a weakness, even luckier to find an enemy with a weakness that doesn't have an evade/dodge skill. Oh well, I got into the habit of sneak attacking EVERYTHING in The Journey, so doing it in The Answer isn't a problem.

Hell it's even easier cus you have Aigis' gun. I stuck to swords/axes in Journey.

Probably going to go with Miguel from Chrono Cross like the OP, was maybe 14 when I did that fight and took me a few days of trying to finally beat it (using Harlee really didn't help). Another crappy one was Melbu Frahma in LoD but that may have just been because it was one of the first RPGs i ever played.

    Re: Hardest Storyline Battles.

For some reason that chick knight in FF9 messed me up everytime I had to fight her.

Also before Lunar: SSS came out I got it as a demo with a Playstation I bought and for some reason they had the option to give the ocarina to that little gay cat dragon guy. I could use the saved game from the demo when the real game came out and it was good and all till the end when you have to play it for the chick. Ended up having to play the whole game over just to see the ending after having beaten the final boss.
