The Royals aren't that bad. Gordon and Butler are studs, but so far, lolTigers
Hey look. Mike Hampton didn't even START his game, strained left pectoral muscle. Just fucking retire you waste of space.
rofl i remember talking about hampton a few weeks ago, he really is a waste of space and needs to retire, as for the AL east the O's sucks, rays are never gonna catch the real fire to be a decent team and the jays are gonna collapse like they've done the past 3 seasons, I still think the tigers are not gonna be that good and i see the indians running with the central
and the giants get shut out for the second time this season, with a total of 0 runs of support for zito and an era that would make anyone cringe. This is going to be a long season.
The Blue Jays swept the Red Sox this weekend too. :DOriginally Posted by Reality
Blue won in this latest Red vs Blue match up.
Heh sure has been an interesting start to the 2008 Season. Detroit is on pace to lose 162 games, Baltimore will win the AL East and Kansas City is a real powerhouse!
As a Yankee fan I'm relatively happy though. Their offense is clearly getting off to a slow start but they're winning the close games and out of 6 games, 5 of them have had great starting pitching. Add to that Toronto sweeping Boston and the Mets inability to plate even one run for their 151 million dollar pitcher means I'm doing just fine![]()
Santana versus Smoltz on Sunday was what I expected. It's amazing how shutdown the Mets offense was until late. Smoltz and the bullpen (save Soriano) really shut them down. I wish it'd be like that all year though, but now we're going to Colorado. D:
Another note, 40 runs in the first week for the Braves. Not too bad. At least we're scoring runs as expected, unlike the Tigers. :3
Our run production is gonna be crazy this year compared to last year. So we lost Andruw, but we've got a full season of Teixeira. I really really really hope the sign him long term.
Time to see what Glavine can do, but in Denver it'll just be a big shootout.
astros are 2-5....ugh, but im 11-3-2 in fantasy!
10/90 chances of us resigning Teixeira to a long term deal. I don't think it'll happen. Scott Boris asks for huge numbers, and Atlanta doesn't have the cash to spend that much on one player. It'll suck to see him go though. He's the best 1B in terms of hitting that we've had since Galarraga imo.Originally Posted by Penthesilea
Either way, yeah. Shootout tonight.
holy shit @ today's Cubs vs. Pirates game. For those that haven't been watching/listening, the Cubs got out to a 7-0 lead after 3. The Pirates came back with 5 in the 4th. End of the 7th right now, all tied up 8-8. This has certainly kept me entertained through an otherwise boring afternoon at work.

Not going to write off the Tigers until I see what their O looks like with Granderson. Their defense and pitching are HORRID, so they might have to score 10+ runs a game, like the '95 Mariners.
Speaking of my beloved M's, swept by lolbaltimore. ; ;
And then he'd win 20 games like Santana making the ultimate pitching rotation evaaar! AMIRITE? (I'm being sarcastic of course)Originally Posted by Penthesilea
Still. He'll probably retire. He doesn't have anything left in the tank. His body is as flimsy as paper.
I guess this is a russian roulette shootout or something... Rockies need to stop sucking thats for sure.
Edit: Yay homerun
I have tickets for next Sunday's game at Fenway, oh its going to be so fucking nice. I'm either going to see Dice-K or if it Rains Friday, I get Beckett on Sunday. So I think I'll be pregaming all day at Cask and Flagon.![]()
And they win with a Homerun in the bottom of the 8th off our bullpen. Story of our lives.Originally Posted by Rigor
